With just three matchdays to go, there are some battles left in the Serie A table, as the struggle of some teams to reach European competition spots or evade relegation is remarkable.
The leaders, Inter, have already secured the crown, so their next matches are a mere formality. Today, they got the best out of Frosinone and beat them 0-5.
Now, from fourth to sixth place, there is an outstanding battle for a ticket to the next Champions League, with Lazio (7th,)also having a small chance to get into the meddle. A little lower is Napoli, the biggest disappointment from the season.
The teams from the 14th to the 19th spot have to finish their season running on all cylinders, as no one in that group is that safe from relegation with three matches left to go. Sassuolo (19th) and Udinese (18th) still have a shot at escaping, unlike Salernitana, who at this point can do nothing but wait.
Serie A Matchday 36: Napoli vs. Bologna

Moneyline odds:
Napoli 2.163
Bologna 3.57

Napoli is going through a lackluster run lately, having last tasted victory at the start of March, and the 2022-23 Italian champions are limping to the finish line this time around. The team has taken just one point from their last four home fixtures, so despite winning eight of their last nine against Bologna at the Stadio Maradona, we can’t be too sure in this one.
A 0-0 draw in September’s reverse match may have hinted at how the gap between these clubs could close this season, but few would have expected Bologna to lead Napoli by 13 points with only three games left to play.
As Napoli rarely makes the most of their ponderous possession, and Bologna has a reputation for being tough to beat either home or away, a low-scoring draw should be expected at Stadio Maradona this weekend.

Lazio are on course to claim a place in Europe, thanks to their recent revival under new management, as they sit seventh in the Serie A standings, trailing Atalanta and city rivals Roma by six points with three games to play.
Even though they dropped points in Monza last week, the Biancocelesti boast an impressive record since Igor Tudor took charge at the end of March.
The thing for Empoli is that their top-flight future remains in jeopardy ahead of their weekend trip to the capital, but if they are to cause an upset and take some precious points back to Tuscany, then a new page in club history will have to be written.
The Azzurri have never beaten Lazio away from home in Serie A, after 13 previous attempts – losing nine times and recording four draws along the way.
The combination ofLazio’s improved home form and Empoli’s woes on the road indicate only one outcome at Stadio Olimpico: the hosts should claim three points, while their visitors stay deep in danger at the wrong end of Serie A.
Lazio vs. Empoli Betting Pick: Lazio
Serie A Matchday 36: Genoa vs. Sassuolo
When and Where?
Sunday, May 12, 9:00 am ET at the Luigi Ferraris
Moneyline odds:
Genoa 2.3
Sassuolo 3.26
Draw Offs:

Sassuolo’s case this season is a matter of study. Even though they have been known for being a giant killer in Serie A recently, this completely awful season has seen them take points from Milan, Inter, and Juventus, achieving the double against the Neroazurri last week. Of their measly seven wins, three have been against the top three of the table, something almost laughable.
The Neroverdi are three points shy of the safe zone. Next up for Davide Ballardini’s troops is the trip to Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris this Sunday.
Genoa has enjoyed a fantastic campaign in this term of Serie A. They are miles away from the relegation scrap, and the players are enjoying their time on the pitch these days.
The players are scoring for fun these days. They notched three goals in each of the last two league affairs. They’ve failed to score just twice in the previous twelve Serie A fixtures, and we believe their approach to the match will allow them to get another win here.

Atalanta’s momentum is looking pretty good after their win over Marseille in the UEFA Europa League semifinals. That allowed the Bergamo team to advance to the final, where they will face the formidable Bayer of Xabi Alonso.
Besides their successful run in European competitions, Atalanta has a good chance of securing a spot in the Champions League next season.
Roma’s European journey came to an end this Thursday. While the outcome against Bayer was not entirely unexpected, they were leading 2-0 until the 82nd minute, where the Aspirines pulled their now classic last-minute push to evade the loss.
The upcoming game against Atalanta will be crucial for the Lupa in their fight for a Champions League spot. A defeat in this match would jeopardize their ambitions.
Gasperini has masterminded Atalanta’s three-game unbeaten run against Roma (W2, D1). However, this will be his first managerial duel against De Rossi. An upset is a distinct possibility, but fatigue could play its part as we back the hosts to take a crucial three points.
Atalanta vs. Roma Betting Pick: Atalanta
