The Gunners dominated the opening 45 minutes and took the lead just before half-time from the penalty spot. Kai Havertz was brought down by Bournemouth’s goalkeeper Mark Travers, and Bukayo Saka coolly rolled the ball into the net.

Arsenal doubled their lead in the 70th minute when Declan Rice won the ball on the edge of the box and teed up Leandro Trossard, who curled the ball home from inside the area before Rice scored in added time to boost the Gunners’ goal difference.

Bournemouth threatened a lot more in the second period, and Dominic Solanke forced David Raya into a save in the second half before Justin Kluivert flashed a shot wide.

The victory meant that Arsenal were clear at the top for a bit before Manchester City’s clash.

This match was Erling Haaland’s show, as his first four-goal haul in the Premier League left Manchester City three wins away from a historic fourth successive Premier League title.

City was given a helping hand they did not need, thanks to a favorable 12th-minute penalty decision from referee Craig Pawson. Haaland sent Wolves keeper Jose Sa the wrong way. Later, he beat the Portuguese from the spot again just before the break, after he had been brought down by Nelson Semedo.

In between, the striker had scored with a superb far-post header, climbing to an amazing height unchallenged at the far post to send Rodri’s cross into the net.

A minute after Hwang Hee-chan had pulled one back for the visitors, Haaland struck again, powering on to Phil Foden’s brilliant lofted pass.

Julian Alvarez finished off the scoring five minutes from time to leave City a point behind Arsenal, but now with three games remaining to the Gunners’ two.​

Brighton finally snapped their six-match winless run in the Premier League when they beat Aston Villa 1-0 at home after Joao Pedro scored an 87th-minute winner in a scrappy affair.

Simon Adingra had been Brighton’s busiest player throughout the game, and it was his foray into the box late in the second half that drew a foul from Villa full-back Ezri Konsa, which forced the referee to point to the spot.

Even though Villa’s stand-in keeper, Robin Olsen, had made several saves to keep his side in the game and even denied Joao Pedro from the spot, he could do nothing when the Brazilian headed home the rebound for his 20th goal of the season in all competitions.

The result moved Brighton up to 11th place with 47 points. Meanwhile, Villa are fourth with 67 points as they continue to wait to seal a spot in next season’s Champions League, with fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur still in the hunt.

It was due time for Liverpool to finally find some form in this 4-2 Premier League victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in much-loved manager Jurgen Klopp’s penultimate game at Anfield.

Thanks to the strikes from Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo, and Harvey Elliott, they are now within five points of leaders Arsenal in the table with two games remaining, and four points behind holders Manchester City, who have a game less than both.

It wasLiverpool’s talisman, Salah, who headed home his 18th league goal of the season in the 16th minute before Robertson doubled their lead with a tap-in just before halftime.

Gakpo headed in Elliott’s cross in the 50th, then the midfielder bagged his own with a rocket from 20 yards out that curled into the top corner.

Richarlison and Son Heung-min pulled two back to make for a lively ending, but a comeback was not on the cards for Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs, who are fifth in the table.
