The Club World Cup has been a great competition so far, and we’ll have a new chapter in the Europe vs. South America rivalry when PSG faces Botafogo—the recent champions of each confederation—in what could be seen as a modern version of the old Intercontinental Cup.
PSG had a great start and showed no mercy to Atlético Madrid, crushing them 4-0.
On the other hand, Botafogo had a tougher time but eventually pulled off a 2-1 win over the Seattle Sounders.

Why Bet on PSG?
The reigning Champions League winner showed exactly why they conquered the continental tournament—and now they want the world title. They had a brilliant start, steamrolling Atlético Madrid in a dominant 4-0 victory with goals from Fabián Ruiz, Vitinha, Senny Mayulu, and Kang-in Lee.
With both Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola sidelined due to injuries, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia stepped up as the leader, supported by a strong midfield. Luis Enrique’s squad was a continuation of the team we saw in recent months—and a clear winner.
In their last three official matches, the Parisians have scored 12 goals and conceded none, defeating Inter (5-0) and Reims (3-0) in the Champions League and Coupe de France finals, respectively. They are currently on a six-game winning streak.
One of the surprises has been 19-year-old Mayulu, who also scored in the Champions League final and took full advantage of his opportunity. He now has three goals and one assist in his last five matches, where he’s played 170 minutes.
While Barcola was able to train with the team on Monday, Dembélé still hasn’t joined the group. It’s likely the Spanish manager will stick with the same starting lineup.
Why Bet on Botafogo?
After winning the Copa Libertadores last December, Botafogo lost several of its star players, such as Thiago Almada, Luiz Henrique, Júnior Santos, and Tiquinho Soares. As a result, they had a poor start to the year, but their level has been improving.
Though it wasn’t easy, they managed to defeat the Seattle Sounders in their debut. It ended 2-1 with goals from Jair and Igor Jesus, while Cristian Roldán pulled one back with 15 minutes to go. All the goals came from headers.
It wasn’t a smooth match for Renato Paiva’s side—their opponent had more shots, possession, and corners—but the South Americans were more effective and clinical. There’s no doubt they have many areas to improve, especially after allowing so much control to a supposedly inferior team and committing 18 fouls.
Across Copa Libertadores, Brasileirão, and the Club World Cup, the Brazilian side is now unbeaten in eight matches, winning seven and drawing one—that draw coming away against league leaders Flamengo.
The new stars made their debuts: forwards Joaquín Correa and Arthur Cabral. The Argentine played the entire second half and had one shot on goal, while the Brazilian was on the pitch for 21 minutes and touched the ball just seven times. It’s expected that, with time, both will settle in and become starters.
Final Betting Analysis: PSG vs. Botafogo
The battle between South Americans and Europeans is currently tied, as all matches have ended in a draw. However, that will change this Thursday, as PSG is in outstanding form, and we don’t believe Botafogo will be able to stop them.
The odds at Gambyl Exchange favor PSG, with their Moneyline at -476, while Botafogo sits at +1500, and a draw is set at +655.
