We’ve reached the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup, where one of the worst teams in MLS, LA Galaxy, faces one of the best in Liga MX, Pachuca.
Although the California side has been struggling badly in the league and is sitting at the bottom of the table, they managed to finish third in the U.S. zone of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Pachuca is having a great domestic campaign and carried that form onto the international stage, finishing second in their group.

Why Bet on LA Galaxy?
The Los Angeles Galaxy hopes to keep showing their best side in the Leagues Cup, trying to forget what’s happening in MLS.
In this international tournament, they advanced after defeating Tijuana 5-2 and Santos 4-0, while drawing 1-1 with Cruz Azul before falling in penalties (8-7).
However, after the tournament, they returned to their league reality, losing their next two home games against the Seattle Sounders (0-4) and Inter Miami (3-1). In MLS, they currently sit at the bottom of the standings with just 16 points from three wins, seven draws, and 16 losses, scoring 29 goals and conceding 55.
Among the team’s injured players are Riqui Puig and Carlos Garcés.

Pachuca comes into this match as the leader of Liga MX; however, they come off losing their undefeated streak this past weekend.
In the Leagues Cup, the ‘Tuzos’ defeated San Diego FC (3-2) and Houston Dynamo (2-1), while also drawing with Los Angeles FC (1-1) before losing in penalties (4-2).

The team’s new star, Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho, made his debut, and it remains to be seen if Jaime Lozano decides to start him this Wednesday. On the other hand, Jhonder Cádiz is expected to return after serving his red-card suspension from Matchday 2.

If we focus solely on league performance, Pachuca should be the main favorite. However, in do-or-die matches, the Galaxy has shown a better face in the Leagues Cup, even beating, among others, the very team that just defeated the ‘Tuzos’. We believe this one will end in a draw.
The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Pachuca as the favorite, with their Moneyline at +138, while LA Galaxy sits at +180 and the draw at +264.
These two teams previously met in the now-defunct North American SuperLiga, in its inaugural 2007 edition. They faced each other in the group stage, with the Galaxy winning 2-1, and then again in the final, which ended 1-1 before Pachuca prevailed 4-3 on penalties.
