Why Bet on Juárez?
Juárez comes into this match motivated after securing their first victory of the tournament, and they did it on the road by defeating Chivas 1-2. Now, with five points, they sit in 14th place, but are only one point behind eighth.
A penalty from Óscar Estupiñán and a brilliant individual play by Jairo Torres gave them the advantage over Guadalajara, but Sebastián Jurado’s outstanding performance also deserves recognition.
Now they return home, where they’ve managed to win just one of their last nine matches in this condition. In this tournament, they first drew 1-1 with América and then lost 0-2 to Toluca. It’s worth noting that their goal against the ‘Águilas’ came when the opponent was down to 10 men due to a red card.
With only four goals scored, they have the worst attack in the tournament, and it’s important to consider that half of that tally came in their last match. No player has scored more than once.
Why Bet on Santos?
Santos Laguna looks a bit different in this tournament compared to the last one, and they want to fight for a spot in the next phase. It’s worth remembering that in their previous two Liga MX tournaments, they finished last, and in the one before that, they placed 15th. They haven’t reached the postseason since the Apertura 2023/24, when they finished ninth.
In this championship, they started with a 3-0 win over Pumas, but after that came two league losses and three more in the Leagues Cup. They returned to domestic play and defeated Chivas 1-0, but this past weekend they fell 3-2 to Cruz Azul—though it’s worth highlighting the team’s effort, as they played with 10 men from the 40th minute, and the third goal came in the 82nd.
Speaking of red cards, that’s an area the ‘Verdiblancos’ must improve. They’ve received one in each of their last two matches and in three of their five league games. In two of their three Leagues Cup matches, they also saw red, including twice in their last one. In total, across eight matches this semester, they’ve collected six red cards, two of them shown to Ramiro Sordo, who is one of the team’s top scorers.
On the road, things have gone very, very badly for them—their last away win came on March 1, 2024, against Querétaro (0-1). Since then, they’ve recorded three draws and 19 defeats.
Sordo will be unavailable, but center-back Haret Ortega is expected to return.
Final Betting Analysis: Juárez vs. Santos
An interesting matchup between two teams separated by just one point. Juárez comes in motivated after earning their first win of the tournament, and on the road, while Santos not only lost but also continues their dreadful away form that has lasted over a year. For that reason, we believe the Bravos will win.
The odds at Gambyl Exchange favor Juárez, with a Moneyline of -122, while Santos is listed at +316, and a draw is priced at +270.
The last time these two met was on January 29 of this year, in this very stadium, where Juárez won 1-0 with a goal from Estupiñán. The Bravos are riding a three-game winning streak against Santos and are unbeaten in their last five home matches.
Go for a win for Juárez. If you bet $100 at -122, you will gain $82 for a total payout of $182.
