Matchday 13 of Serie A is here, and Roma will defend their newly earned lead against a Napoli side eager to take first place from them—but it’s not the only standout match.

Milan, coming off a derby win and also within reach of the top spot, will host a Lazio team currently outside the European qualification places and desperate to climb back in.

Inter, who fell to their city rivals and lost the top position, will visit a weak Pisa, while Bologna, fighting in the upper part of the table, will host Cremonese.

Milan comes into this match motivated after defeating Inter 0–1 in the Derby della Madonnina thanks to a goal from Christian Pulisic and a penalty save from Mike Maignan. It was the first goal in nearly two months, and he is once again the team’s top scorer. The ‘Rossoneri’ sit second in the table, just two points behind Roma.

Lazio have had an up-and-down season, but they are in better form at the moment. With 18 points, they are in eighth place, three points behind sixth. They are coming off a 2–0 win over Lecce, and their last three matches have all ended with the same scoreline—two home wins and one away loss. Away from home, they have won just once, drawn twice, and lost three times.

Pisa has managed to climb out of the relegation zone and stay above it. With 10 points, they sit in 16th place, two points above the drop. They are on a six-match unbeaten run, drawing five of them. They earned their first win in early November against Cremonese in their last home match, and are coming off a 2–2 draw with Sassuolo after conceding a goal on the final play.

Inter lost 0–1 to their fiercest rival, Milan, and also dropped from first place to fourth. It was a match in which they were not sharp, hitting the post, being denied by great saves from Mike Maignan, and even missing a penalty through Hakan Calhanoglu. With 26 goals scored, they are the league’s top-scoring team, but their 13 goals conceded make them the worst defense among the top eight. They have three wins and two losses away from home this season.

Pisa vs. Inter Betting Pick: Inter

A blockbuster match for the Serie A lead. Roma sit atop the table with 27 points after nine wins and three losses. They are coming off a 1–3 victory over Cremonese, their first match of the season, scoring more than two goals. Brazilian fullback Wesley, who arrived from Flamengo in July, has been one of the club’s biggest revelations, along with Matías Soulé and Mile Svilar.

Napoli, meanwhile, are third, two points behind Roma after eight wins, one draw, and three losses. They are coming off a 3–1 victory over Atalanta with a brace from David Neres, snapping a two-game scoring drought from Napoli and ending a stretch of just one goal in their previous three matches. Rasmus Hojlund, who started the season strongly, has not scored since October 5, while Kevin De Bruyne remains out.

Bologna open the month of December in Serie A knowing that a victory would allow them to move up to at least fourth place. They are currently fifth with 24 points, and their eight goals conceded make them the third-best defense in the league. They are coming off a 0–3 win over Udinese and have scored five goals and conceded none in their last two matches. In fact, they have allowed only one goal in their previous five games, including one in the Europa League.

Cremonese started the tournament very well and looked like a surprise, going unbeaten through the first five matchdays. But they quickly began to slip and now sit 11th with 14 points. They are coming off a 1–3 home loss to Roma and have now suffered three straight defeats, two of them at home. Their away form has been better, with two wins, two draws, and two losses.
