Why Bet on Houston Dynamo?

The Houston Dynamoโ€™s season is in jeopardy. With 33 points, they sit in 12th place in the Western Conference after eight wins, nine draws, and 13 losses, scoring 39 goals and conceding 49. Right now, theyโ€™re two points shy of the Play-In and eight away from the playoffs, although seventh-place Austin has a game in hand.

Theyโ€™re coming off a painful defeat against the Colorado Rapids, a direct rival in this race. It was a 2-1 loss sealed by a Felipe Andrade own goal in the 90+6โ€™. Theyโ€™ve managed just one point from their last six, and at home, only two from the previous 12, with just one win in their last seven matches there.

Playing at Shell Energy Stadium has been particularly tough, with just 15 out of a possible 45 points earned, from four wins, three draws, and eight losses. That poor home form is where their playoff hopes have slipped away.

The teamโ€™s top scorer is Argentine forward Ezequiel Ponce, with nine goals. Ben Olsen is dealing with numerous injury absences, and now heโ€™ll also be without his captain, Artur, due to a red card suspension.

Why Bet on Portland Timbers?

The Portland Timbers have moved closer to the postseason. With 42 points, they sit sixth in the West, currently holding one of the direct playoff spots. They have 11 wins, nine draws, and nine losses, scoring 38 goals and conceding 39. While those are solid numbers for the Conference, they rank 15th in the overall MLS table, showing thereโ€™s still plenty of room for improvement.

After the Leagues Cup, they lost their next two games, then drew two, and finally broke that negative streak with a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls last weekend. Matรญas Rojas and Antony Alves scored the goals. With seven goals, the Brazilian is the teamโ€™s top scorer alongside Venezuelan Kevin Kelsy.

On the road, they havenโ€™t been as effective, with four wins, four draws, and six losses. Theyโ€™ve drawn their last two away games, but have only managed one win in their previous nine outings as visitors.

Among Phil Nevilleโ€™s absences are Canadian goalkeeper Maxime Crรฉpeau and Uruguayan midfielders Jonathan Rodrรญguez and Felipe Carballo.

Final Betting Analysis: Houston Dynamo vs. Portland Timbers

It will be an interesting and decisive match in the MLS Western Conference, with a key game for both teamsโ€™ playoff aspirations. Houston Dynamoโ€™s recent results have been poor, and they havenโ€™t shown much as hosts, but Portland Timbers also havenโ€™t been particularly impressive, so we believe this will end in a draw.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange favor the Houston Dynamo with a Moneyline of +105, while the Portland Timbers sit at +248, and a draw is priced at +277.

The last time they faced each other was on March 30 of this year, with Portland winning 3-1 thanks to a brace from Alves and a goal by Felipe Mora. At home, Dynamo have two wins and one draw in their last three games.

Go for a draw in the Moneyline. If you bet $100 at +277, you will gain $277 for a total payout of $377.
