The biggest surprise of the weekend came in London, where Sunderland defeated Chelsea 1-2, knocking them down to almost the middle of the table.

Brentford extended their lead in the 60th minute with a penalty converted by Igor Thiago and held on until the 89th, when Mohamed Salah’s right-footed strike made it 3-2.

With this result, the hosts move up to 11th place with 13 points, while Liverpool drops to seventh with 15.

The only goal of the match came in the 19th minute from Matty Cash. After a quick short corner, Emiliano Buendía switched play to the right-back, who cut inside and fired a stunning left-footed strike from the edge of the box.

The ‘Citizens’ tried from several angles but couldn’t find the net, and Haaland’s streak of 12 consecutive games scoring—during which he netted 22 goals—came to an end.

Aston Villa climbed to eighth place with 15 points, while Manchester City sits fourth with one point more.
