Why Bet on Bears?

The Chicago Bears are coming off their 20th division title, their first since 2018, after finishing the season with an 11โ€“6 record, which placed them second in the conference.

Despite already being locked into the playoffs in the final week, head coach Ben Johnson played his starters against the Detroit Lions, and the Bears lost at home 16โ€“19 on a last-second field goal by Jake Bates.

Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 Draft, is having an outstanding season. He completed 330 of 568 passes for a 58.1% completion rate, throwing for 3,942 yards, 27 passing touchdowns, adding three rushing touchdowns, one receiving touchdown, and seven interceptions. With him under center, the Bears pulled off six fourth-quarter comebacks.

On offense, Colston Loveland, DJ Moore, and Rome Odunze each recorded six receiving touchdowns, while Dโ€™Andre Swift scored nine rushing touchdowns on 223 carries for 1,087 yards.

Among the rookies on offense, tight end Loveland has 10 receptions, over 90 yards, and one touchdown in his last two games. Running back Kyle Monangai also stood out, finishing with 169 carries, 783 yards, and five touchdowns.

Defensively, Kevin Byard recorded his seventh interception, leading the NFL in that category. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds leads the team in solo tackles (61) and assisted tackles (51), while Montez Sweat added 10 sacks.

Second-year wide receiver Rome Odunze is expected to return and start in this game, having not played since November 28.

Why Bet on Packers?

The Green Bay Packers closed out their season in a poor fashion. They suffered four consecutive losses, finishing with a 9โ€“7โ€“1 record and seventh place in the conference. That tie against the Dallas Cowboys ultimately secured their playoff spot ahead of the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, both of whom finished 9โ€“8.

A few weeks ago, the Packers lost in overtime to the Bears in a game that could have clinched the division title for them. They were then blown out at home by the Baltimore Ravens, and finally fell in Week 18 to the Vikings by a 16โ€“3 score. That said, they played almost entirely with backups in that game, including third-string quarterback Clayton Tune.

One piece of good news for head coach Matt LaFleur is the return of Jordan Love. The quarterback was injured against the Bears in Week 16 and missed the game versus the Ravens. In the regular season, he completed 291 of 439 passes over 15 games for 3,381 yards, throwing 23 touchdown passes with six interceptions.

Who will definitely be unavailable is Micah Parsons, the teamโ€™s sack leader with 12.5. Run defense is clearly an area that needs improvement, something that was evident against the Ravens, when they allowed Derrick Henry to carry the ball 36 times for 216 yards and four touchdowns.

Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Tucker Kraft each caught six receiving touchdowns, while Josh Jacobs leads the team on the ground with 13 rushing touchdowns. However, Jacobs failed to score in the final two games and has only found the end zone in two of his last six appearances.

The Packers have not lost five straight games since 2022, when they dropped contests between Weeks 5 and 9.

Final Betting Analysis: Bears vs. Packers

A very tight matchup with a fierce rivalry. The Packers are in poor form, but we believe that with the return of Jordan Love, they will be able to regain their best version and secure a playoff berth.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange list the Packers as the favorites, with their Moneyline at -120, while the Bears are priced at +100.

These teams faced each other twice this season, with the Packers winning in Week 14 in Green Bay and the Bears winning in overtime in Week 16 in Chicago. The Packers had won 11 straight games in the rivalry until January 2025, when the Bears snapped the streak with a victory in the final week.

This is the most-played series in NFL history, with 212 games, and it is led by the team from Wisconsin with 109 wins, 97 losses, and six ties. They have met twice in the playoffs, with the series tied 1โ€“1, including Green Bayโ€™s victory in the 2010 NFC Championship Game on their way to the Super Bowl title.

Go for a win for the Packers in the Moneyline. If you bet $100 at -120, you will gain $83 for a total payout of $183.
