One of the most anticipated fights in recent years will take place this Saturday, March 13 when Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada and Román “Chocolatito” González meet again. At their last fight on November 17, 2012, Chocolatito González won by a unanimous decision in the city of Los Angeles, at La Arena de los Deportes. This fight will take place at the American Airlines Center Dallas, in which it will be a fight that will unify the world titles and will have at stake the super flyweight belts of the WBC. and the AMB.

Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada

Gallo Estrada is, without a doubt, one of the best in Mexican boxing to date. Because of the style and hunger to win that he shows in all his fights, we call him “Guerrero Azteca”, who has left an indelible mark in all the rings that he has climbed. He has left the name of Mexico at the top within the world of international boxing.

Since his loss against Chocolatito González, Estrada has only been dreaming of this rematch. Since that fight, El Gallo has won 15 out of 16 fights when he lost to Sor Rungvisai in February 2018 by a split decision. But, two fights later, he took revenge on Rungvisai in April 2019 and thus becoming the WBC champion. His last fight was the same day as González’s in October 2020, where he defeated Carlos Cuadras by TKO in the 11th round and defended the belt for the second time. Gallo Estrada’s current record is 41 – 3.

Román “Chocolatito” González

Chocolatito González is the current champion of the Super Title of the World Boxing Association. After the famous and much talked about fight against El Gallo Estrada, González won 12 matches in a row, which served to declare him the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world of professional boxing with an impressive 46-0 record. It wasn’t until then that Chocolatito met Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, who managed to bury González in 2 consecutive fights. But, after these defeats, the Nicaraguan managed to win 4 consecutive bouts, including the fight for the WBA super flyweight belt against Ka Yafai, with a technical knockout in February 2020. El Chocolatito played his last fight in October 2020 when he defeated Israel González by a unanimous decision and thus placed his record at an impressive 50 – 2.

Now, both Gallo Estrada and Chocolatito González have an excellent streak as they have not been defeated in several years. But in this case, we’re going to give the winning card to the Mexican monarch Juan Francisco “El Gallo” Estrada. El Gallo has been waiting for this moment for 9 years now and it is the only loss of his career that he has not yet been able to retaliate from, so we’re betting that Estrada will win the fight on March 13.
