Why Bet on Chelsea?
Chelsea, the reigning UEFA Conference League champions, have reached the Club World Cup final, looking to end (or kick off) the season in the best possible way.
In the group stage of the tournament, they defeated Los Angeles FC (2-0) and Espérance (3-0), but lost to Flamengo (3-1). They then beat Benfica in extra time (4-1), followed by two tough battles against Brazilian teams: a 2-1 win over Palmeiras with a late own goal, and a 2-0 victory over Fluminense, though not without controversy due to a possible penalty in favor of the Brazilian side when the score was 1-0.
The standout in the semifinal against Fluminense was Brazilian striker João Pedro, who recently arrived from Brighton for around $70 million. The 23-year-old, who came up through the Fluminense academy, had only played 36 minutes in the previous match but started for the first time in the semifinal. He scored two great goals and sent his team through to the final.
Other standout players for the ‘Blues’ include Pedro Neto, who has netted three goals, and Enzo Fernández, who has one goal and three assists. Benoît Badiashile and Roméo Lavia will miss the final due to injury.
Why Bet on Paris Saint-Germain?
Whoever wins this match can be considered the best team in the world—but right now, it’s fair to say that Paris Saint-Germain already holds that title. The French side has been a machine and is the clear favorite.
The Champions League winners defeated Atlético Madrid (4-0) and Seattle Sounders (2-0) in the group stage, with their only loss coming against Botafogo (1-0). They then went on to beat Inter Miami (4-0), Bayern Munich (2-0), and Real Madrid (4-0). In total, they’ve scored 16 goals and conceded just one.
Luis Enrique’s team has functioned like a well-oiled machine, with every part of the squad performing at a high level. In the semifinals, even without Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernández—both suspended—PSG dominated Real Madrid from the first minute and made the Spanish side look out of sorts. Fabián Ruiz scored twice, while Ousmane Dembélé and Gonçalo Ramos also found the net.
The Parisians are only missing the two aforementioned players, and Dembélé, who started his first match of the tournament, showed he’s fully recovered and back in top form.
Final Betting Analysis: Chelsea vs. PSG
We believe there’s no doubt that PSG is the main favorite. The French side has been playing great football for quite some time now, and they’ve proven it throughout this tournament. We expect that trend to continue, and they should come out on top.
The odds at Gambyl Exchange favor PSG, with their Moneyline at -156, while Chelsea sits at +446, and a draw is priced at +330.
The last time these two teams faced off was in the Round of 16 of the Champions League back in 2016, with Paris Saint-Germain winning both matches 2-1. Marquinhos started in both games.
Go for a win for PSG. If you bet $100 at -156, you will gain $64 for a total payout of $164.
