Fortnite’s FNCS Season 6 is already underway and the trios of players who participated last season are eager to repeat or surpass their performances to win the juicy prizes that Epic Games hands out every year in their championships.
Recap of Season 5 of the FNCS
In FNCS Season 5, Chapter 2, thousands of teams from the seven competitive Fortnite Battle Royale regions began their journey with aspirations for greatness. The stakes were high, and what caught the most attention of all participants was the $ 3 million prize along with the Ax of Champion trophy, awarded only to the winning trio. The 7 regions were Europe, NA East, NA West, Brazil, Oceania, Asia, and the Middle East.
During the competition, each week the best teams advanced through the different rounds of the competition to try to get a spot as one of the 33 teams that would be part of the final stage. At the end of this final stage, the top 10 teams from each region would qualify for the great semifinal of the season. In total, 132 trios played in the semifinals, divided into 4 groups, with the best 8 from each zone advancing to the finals.
In the end, the trophy went to the favorite trio, Igor “Seeyun”, Carlos “Cadu”, and Bryan “KING” as they beat the trio of Nicollas “Nicks”, Felipe “Persa”, and Ed. The champions obtained 3 victories on the day of the finals, as well as obtained a top 3 position which helped them score more points. In total, 329 points were recorded by the champions, only 8 ahead of their closest pursuers.
What Does Season 6 of the FNCS Have in Store?
This new FNCS Season 6 brought with it new changes to Fortnite. Variants in construction, wild animals, the new type of loot that exists, and the rest of the novelties are called competitive preseason and will be available until March 23. Season 5 Battle Passes will be reset on March 23, for everyone to embark on the new Season 6 journey.
Despite the new changes this season, one thing will remain completely the same- the weekly schedule of competitions. The cups will have the usual metallic prizes, raised cups, Fortnite Fridays, and MTL tournaments, which will all be present in Season 6.
Another highlight for Season 6 is the creation of the Fortnite Crew Pack, which we will all know as a Battle Pass in the different games. The Fortnite Crew Pack works by paying a monthly subscription. Players will have access to different skins, weapons, characters, and most importantly, if you complete the battle pass you will collect the 1000 bucks you need to pay for the next month, so if you are a constant player, you could potentially only pay for the battle pass once.
This new season may begin with a large-scale event, as this appears to be a typical new Fortnite tradition.
