As we look forward to the 2023 edition, which kicks off on July 1, 2023, let’s look at some of the top Latin American contenders expected to shine in the race.

In 2019, Colombia’s Egan Bernal became the first Latin American cyclist to win the Tour de France, making history and inspiring a new generation of athletes from the region. Furthermore, this victory showcased the potential of Latin American cyclists on the world stage and paved the way for more contenders from LATAM.
LATAM’s main contenders in the Tour de France 2023
These are some of the most promising Latin American cyclists who are expected to make a significant impact in the 2023 Tour de France:
Egan Bernal (Colombia)
The 2019 Tour de France champion is undoubtedly one of the top contenders from Latin America. Bernal’s climbing prowess and strong team support make him a force to be reckoned with in the race.
Daniel Martinez (Colombia)
