The Netherlands come into this match second in the group with six points, one behind Finland, though they have two games in hand. They’ve had a perfect start, with two matches, two wins, scoring 10 goals, and conceding none. They beat the group leaders 0-2 away and then crushed Malta 8-0. Memphis Depay is the team’s top scorer with three goals.

Poland has the same six points as their rival, but with one more game played. They beat Lithuania (1-0) and Malta (2-0), but lost to Finland (2-1) in their most recent match. Against top-level teams, they’ve struggled badly—for example, in the most recent Euros, they only earned one point in the group stage, and in their UEFA Nations League group, they beat Scotland, drew with Croatia, and lost the other four matches.

Italy did not have a good start and was stunned by Norway, who crushed them 3-0. They then defeated a weak Moldova 2-0 with goals from Giacomo Raspadori and Andrea Cambiaso, but that wasn’t enough. Those matches cost Luciano Spalletti his job, and he was replaced by the legendary Gennaro Gattuso, who last managed Croatian side Hajduk Split.

As for Estonia, they also have three points, like their rival, but in four matches. They won 2-3 away to Moldova, but lost to Israel (2-1 and 1-3) and Norway (0-1). They have faced Italy seven times in their history and lost all of them, conceding 20 goals and scoring just two.

Montenegro has had a decent start, winning both of their home matches against Gibraltar (3-1) and the Faroe Islands (1-0), and losing away to Czechia (2-0), their upcoming opponent this Friday. Without a doubt, it’s a key clash they must win to keep their hopes of fighting for World Cup qualification alive.

As for Czechia, they lead the group with nine points after three wins and one loss. However, they have six points from two matches and crushed them 5-1 in their last outing. Their victories came against the Faroe Islands (2-1), Gibraltar (0-4), and the aforementioned win over Montenegro. Patrik Schick is both the team’s and the qualifiers’ top scorer with four goals, and he’s coming off a brace with Bayer Leverkusen.

England have had a perfect start in an easy group, but they haven’t been convincing. They began with a 2-0 win over Albania, then a 3-0 victory against Latvia, and struggled to beat Andorra away, managing only a 0-1 win with a goal from Harry Kane. Their last match was a friendly on June 10 against Senegal in Nottingham, which they lost 1-3. Much more is expected from Thomas Tuchel’s team, who will be without Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham due to injury.

As expected, Andorra is at the bottom of the group with no points and no goals. They have lost all four of their matches and haven’t won an official game since 2022, when they beat Liechtenstein twice in the UEFA Nations League. In their most recent match, they lost 3-0 to Serbia.
