The Brasileirão 2023 is finally close to its beginning after many months from the end of last season. However, when you know about Brazilian football you understand that the sport was far from stopping in Brazil, as the giant country was enjoying the regional championships.
These tournaments, celebrated in the winter months of the northern hemisphere, are played between the teams of the same state and look to develop football outside the regular league system, qualify teams for the national cup, and keep alive rivalries that would have died off otherwise due to different levels.
We have yet to see the finals of the most important regional tournaments, like the ones from Sao Paulo, Mineiro, and Rio do Janeiro.

Brasileirão Serie A 2023: Schedule
The 2023 season of the Brasileirão will start on April 16, and end in December. There will be no major schedule changes as the unusual situations from the last years like the World Cup in Qatar and the Pandemic are already in the past.

The richest team in the entire American continent is always present when talking about favorites. This applies to Serie A, Copa do Brasil, Copa Libertadores, etc. Last year they fell short in the Brasileirão due to a poor start, so, if this year they kick off with the right foot, they are more than capable of running away with the title. They come as Copa Libertadores Champions.
Palmeiras (+257)
Palmeiras is the most powerful team in Brazil alongside Flamengo currently, and they fell just short of a third Libertadores in a row last year, after surprisingly falling in the semis to Athletico Paranaense. However, this was not the case at the Brasileirão, as they ran away with the title and were declared champions almost since mid-season.
Atlético Mineiro (+566)
From now on all the teams are heavy underdogs, but in this league, anything can happen. Atlético Mineiro comes as the third favorite to win the title, although far from their competitors, probably due to their poor performance last season. However, they were champions of the 2021 edition so there is clear potential in this squad to win the title.
Fluminense (+1900)
The other part of the world-famous Fla-Flu derby is the fourth favorite for the title, although far away from the others and just ahead in a group of teams that have more or least similar odds, including the likes of São Paulo, Internacional, and Corinthians. Whatever the case, Fluminense has one of the best squads in the league and even counts on the goal-scorer from last season, Herman Cano, so they hope that the Argentine keeps its level to help them reach an unlikely trophy.
