Why Bet on Palmeiras?

Palmeiras is not only the reigning champion of Brazilian soccer but also has one of the best squads in South America, accustomed to fighting for the Copa Libertadores every year. However, the Verdão has just been surprised 1-0 at home by Internacional de Porto Alegre. The only goal came from striker Wesley Ribeiro.

However, this cannot hide the great start of the year of the Portuguese Abel Ferreira’s team, as they have won the Paulista championship, beating Santos in the final. They also have four points in the Copa Libertadores, making them a team that is so far meeting its objectives, despite having only three out of six points in the Brasileirão.

Before the loss to Inter, Palmeiras had six consecutive victories at the Allianz Parque, although most of them were against lowly opponents.

The injured players in this team are Bruno Rodrigues and Dudu.

Why Bet on Flamengo?

Flamengo is obliged to win at least one major title this season, and therefore, gave continuity to the work of Tite, Brazil’s former coach in the past two World Cups. The Mengao has just beaten Sao Paulo 2-1 at the Maracanã stadium, thanks to goals by Luiz Araújo and Nicolás De la Cruz.

The Fla has one of the best creative duos in South America, with De la Cruz and Giorgian De Arrascaeta, both players of the Uruguayan National Team. Although Gabigol is suspended, Tite has other strong attackers, such as Pedro, Everton, and Bruno Henrique. Offensive talent is assured.

For their part, the Mengao also celebrated a title this season, winning the Taca Guanabara against Nova Iguacu. In two Brasileirao matches, they have six points, with four goals scored and two conceded. With two goals, De la Cruz is their best scorer.

Flamengo has won four matches in a row and, so far, has only one absentee, Gabigol.

Final Betting Analysis: Palmeiras vs. Flamengo

The last time these teams met at the home of the Verdão, the final result was 1-1. However, Flamengo has a great record against Palmeiras in the Brasileirão: a 12-game unbeaten run in the local league. The Paulista team’s last league win was in 2017, but last year, they won the Brazilian Super Cup and, a few years ago, the Libertadores final.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Palmeiras as the favorite. The Moneyline for them shows 2.36, Flamengo has 3.04, and the draw is at 3.35.

Either way, we believe this is the moment to break the spell for Palmeiras. Flamengo has gained momentum, but against weak teams, so they’ll have a harsh time in their first big test. We’ll go for a 2-1 local win.

Go for a victory for the home team at 2.46. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $146 for a total payout of $246.
