The Verdão, reigning league champions, are coming off a 1-0 loss to Internacional at the Allianz Parque.

Palmeiras is not only the reigning champion of Brazilian soccer but also has one of the best squads in South America, accustomed to fighting for the Copa Libertadores every year.
