LaLiga Matchday 33 Betting Favorites

Last Updated on April 25, 2024 2:18 pm by Erwin Noguera

The LaLiga Season has only six matchdays left, and the fight at the top was decided on the last matchday. Real Madrid took the win and increased the gap at the top to 11 points, which ensures an early crowning with only a few matches left.

Athletic Club has increased the gap, almost securing the Europa League Spot, but they are also within grasp of taking over one of the UEFA Champions spots if they manage to keep on track.

Celta Vigo won in their last outing, which kind of sealed the fate of Cadiz as the team lost their previous match and is now six points away from escaping relegation and racking up another losing streak.

We have quite a bunch of good matches out in the LaLiga Season, and a lot of teams are still at chances of switching places for spots in international competitions, so let’s get ready to break down what is coming our way this weekend.

LaLiga Matchday 33: Real Sociedad vs. Real Madrid

When and where?

Friday, April 26th, 3:00 pm ET at Anoeta

Moneyline odds:

Real Sociedad 2.782

Real Madrid 2.72

Draw Offs

Where can I watch it?

DSports and Movistar Deportes

Real Madrid are currently in a commanding position at the summit, sitting 11 points clear of second-placed Barcelona with six games left, while Real Sociedad are sixth, three points ahead of seventh-placed Real Betis in the battle to secure the Conference League spot.

Real Sociedad finished fourth in LaLiga last season, but it is unlikely they play in the Champions League again next term.

Sociedad are bringing in a five-game unbeaten run into this match, including three wins in LaLiga, but they have been held to draws by Almeria and Getafe in their last two games.

The detail here is that Alguacil’s side have only won six of their 15 home league matches this term, and they will be welcoming a Real Madrid side with the best away record in Spain’s top flight during the 2023-24 campaign.

We expect the Leaders to take some easy three points to their account and lock down the crown.

Real Sociedad vs. Real Madrid Betting Pick: Real Madrid

LaLiga Matchday 33: Las Palmas vs. Girona

When and where?

Saturday, April 27th, 8:00 am ET at Gran Canaria

Moneyline odds:

Las Palmas 4.315

Girona 1.86

Draw Offs

4.065

DSports and Movistar Deportes

Las Palmas have lost their last five La Liga matches on a bounce, including last weekend’s 4-1 defeat to Celta Vigo away from home. Despite their recent horrid form, they remain off the relegation zone, as they currently occupy the 13th position with 37 points.

On the other hand, we have a Girona who is pushing for a top-four finish this season, and their recent form suggests they will. They secured a comfortable 4-1 win over Cadiz last time to remain in the 3rd position with 68 points, two off Barcelona.

Due to Las Palmas’ dire form and Girona winning three out of their last five, things all point out to the visitors taking the win in this clash.

Las Palmas vs. Girona Betting Pick: Girona

LaLiga Matchday 33: Atletico Madrid vs. Athletic Club

When and where?

Saturday, April 27st, 3:00 pm ET at Civitas Metropolitano

Moneyline odds:

Atletico Madrid 2.014

Athletic Club 3.965

Draw Offs

3.75

Where can I watch it?

DSports and Movistar Deportes

We have to take a look at Atletico Madrid’s inconsistency this season, with three defeats in the last five games. Following their stunning 4-2 comeback loss against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, the Madrid giants succumbed 2-1 against lowly Alaves.

Meanwhile, their current opponents, Athletic Club, have had a quietly impressive season, challenging for a Champions League spot and winning the Copa del Rey earlier.

The Basque club are in 5th, three points behind Atletico Madrid, who are holding onto the last Champions League spot.

Things should remain pretty tight, but we are expecting Atletico Madrid to make things work at the right time and get the win here.

Atletico Madrid vs. Athletic Club Betting Pick: Atletico Madrid

LaLiga Matchday 33: Barcelona vs. Valencia

When and where?

Sunday, April 28th, 3:00 pm ET at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys

Moneyline odds:

Barcelona 1.399

Valencia 8.75

Draw Offs

5.36

Where can I watch it?

DSports and Movistar Deportes

Barcelona suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals Real Madrid, but they have something to prove coming into this match.

The bright side about it is that Valencia’s inconsistency aids Barcelona on a last push in their losing battle to take the top, as they have grown in stature under Xavi, but they are likely to have a trophy-less season.

Valencia’s poor recent record doesn’t help them much, and we expect Balencia to land three points on the scoreboard and keep hope alive just a little longer.
