Juan Ignacio Dinenno is an Argentine football player who was born on August 29, 1994. Dinneno currently plays as a forward for Pumas UNAM, a team that belongs to the Liga MX Mexican football league.
The Beginning of Dinenno’s Career
The first team that Dinneno played for in his football career was the Provincial Club of his hometown. He then became part of the lower categories of Rosario Central. In October 2013, he was transferred to Racing Club, a team with which he had the opportunity to debut in professional football against Estudiantes de la Plata as a visitor. His first goal was scored in his third professional game, where his Racing Club team drew 1-1 against Quilmes AC.
Dinenno’s Professional Career
In 2014, Dinenno was loaned to Club Atlético Temperley, in which he helped the team move up in the division. At the beginning of 2015, he was again loaned by Racing Club until December of that year.
Starting in 2016, Facundo Sava informed Dinenno that he would not take him into account in his plans for the first team in the coming seasons, for which he was loaned to Aldosivi. In playing for Aldosivi, he scored only one goal against Olimpo de Bahía Blanca.
After not having prominence or performing as expected, in 2017 he was hired by Deportivo Cuenca, where he debuted with a header against the current Ecuadorian soccer champion. At the end of his contract with Deportivo Cuenca, he was on loan to Barcelona Sporting of Ecuador for one year. Already with a higher level, he had scored 21 goals, with 19 goals in his last two seasons playing in Ecuador.
In 2019, the Colombian team Deportivo Cali wanted to take him over, in which he was again loaned by Racing de Avellaneda. In his debut with “Los Azucareros”, he managed to score two goals, one of them from a penalty, thus giving his new team a 2-0 victory over Atlético Bucaramanga. This was just a hint of what was to come as Dinenno scored goals in his next 5 games, thus making him the main attacking benchmark for the Cali team. His second double was in Colombian soccer on March 7, 2019 when Deportivo Cali defeated Patriotas de Boyacá 3-0. Dinenno played a total of 60 games in 2019 with the Deportivo Cali, in which he scored a total of 28 goals with an average of 0.47 goals per game.
On January 21, 2020, Dinenno’s leap into Mexican soccer became official when he signed with Pumas UNAM in Liga MX. His first goal for the team was during the second leg of round 16 in Copa MX against the powerful Santos Laguna. In his first year with Pumas, he scored 16 goals and became the scorer and reference in attack for his team. He also achieved a runner-up in his second tournament played with Pumas.
