The 7th matchday of the MLS regular season is about to drop on us, and we couldn’t be more excited about one of the matches coming up in the Western Conference. The game we are talking about is the El Trafico Derby, which will pit the MLS first-placed Los Angeles Galaxy, against the 9th-placed LAFC in the BMO field.

Now, both teams clash against each other for another run in their classic rivalry, with all their fans getting ready to watch it. Of course, the time has come for us to start breaking down the details.

When and Where?

Saturday, April 6, 7:45 pm ET at the BMO Stadium

Moneyline odds:

LAFC 1.74

LA Galaxy 4.18

Draw Offs:

4.2

Where can I watch it?

ESPN

Why Bet on LAFC?

The hosts for this match will be LAFC, who are trying to pick up their pace, having won two matches, drawn one, and losing three so far. They kept an even goal differential (9/9) between their six games and could still pick up the pace and get way higher on the scoreboard with a clear win here.

LAFC seemed to be fixing their trajectory and being en route to the top after beating Nashville on a 5-0 score, but the momentum was halted by Colorado, who stopped them with a remarkable 3-2 home victory last Saturday.

Now the team is getting ready to face a strong contender, as not only these are their local rivals, but they are the top-placed team in the conference. Let’s remember that, even at their worst, the Galaxy has been capable of winning the derby now and then, so they are always a complicated rival.

Why Bet on the LA Galaxy?

Los Angeles Galaxy will be the visitors here, but they won’t have any problem traveling within their city. They also come comfortably, leading the Western Conference and tied for the best score with the Eastern Leaders with three wins and three draws, thus being undefeated.

LA Galaxy has been showcasing consistency in their season, scoring 13 goals in six games and only taking nine in the process. However, even if they are undefeated, a 50% winning record is not good enough to remain at the top or battle for the Supporters’ Shield, so they should be more constant.

However, they did send a warning when they managed to draw with Inter Miami on their first game in the season, as everyone was slightly fearful about what Miami had in store for the MLS.

Beating San Jose was their next result, and then they drew against Nashville and St. Louis; even though having only six points at the time didn’t make them jump on anybody’s radar, the victories over Sporting KC and Seattle allowed them to take over clearly.

Final Betting Analysis: LAFC vs. LA Galaxy

The El Tráfico will be exciting this year, as even though it is coming at an early point during the season, both teams have shown some great performances in this early stage. The fans are excited and expect this one to be all about both teams going into the field guns blazing.

With that in mind, we have to address that LAFC had just fixed their goal differential with that 5-0 over Nashville and now remain even, which means they could still have some defensive issues to work through. If they are still there, LA Galaxy is going to exploit them.

Galaxy has been unbeaten so far because they have found a way to either break or stop each of their opponents, and we do think they will be able to go through LAFC in this clash, even if it is a contested fight.

We expect the current leaders to keep their unbeaten streak by taking three more points in the El Tráfico Derby with a 1-2 win.

Go for a victory for the visitors at 1.74. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $74 for a total payout of $174.
