Although most of the matches were postponed over the weekend due to the FA Cup quarterfinals, the Premier League had four vibrant games, both for the qualification to the next Champions League and in the fight to avoid relegation.
Tottenham was surprised as visitors against Fulham and obliterated, but Aston Villa could not take advantage, as they could only draw at West Ham’s home.
Meanwhile, in the fight against relegation, Vincent Kompany’s Burnley is clinging to the numbers after beating Brentford 2-1.
Luton was not so lucky at home, unable to overcome direct rivals Nottingham Forest, who for now are staying in the English top flight for the next campaign.

Burnley achieved a fundamental victory in their attempt to save themselves from relegation, beating Brentford 2-1 at home.
After 10 minutes, the home team was already up on the scoreboard, with a penalty scored by Jacob Bruun Larsen after an infraction by Sergio Reguilon, who was sent off in an undoubtedly game-changing action. In the 61st minute, David Datro Fofana extended his team’s lead when he subtly finished off a Wilson Odobert through ball in the box.
Despite the man advantage, Kristoffer Ajer pulled one back in the 83rd minute to add some drama to the final minutes, but in the end, the scoreboard remained unchanged.
Vincent Kompany’s side reached 17 points but remains second last in the Premier League, eight points behind 17th. Brentford are 15th with 26.

In another key match in the fight to avoid relegation to the second division, Luton drew 1-1 at home with Nottingham Forest, a result that did not favor either side.
The visitors took the lead after 34 minutes when Chris Wood slid in Morgan Gibbs-White’s cross. The equalizer came in the 89th minute through Luke Berry after Reece Burke had headed the ball down.
Luton, who has gone nine games without a win, is 18th with 22 points and currently losing the category. Forest, who snapped a run of four defeats in a row, are one place above them with three more points.

Fulham respected their home ground and thrashed Tottenham 3-0 at Craven Cottage, keeping the Spurs out of the Champions League.
The home side was having a positive first half, and towards the end of it, full-back Antonee Robinson crossed for striker Rodrigo Muniz to make it 1-0. The second came early in the second half from Sasa Lukic, who tapped in a pass from the flank by Belgian Timothy Castagne in the 49th minute. The Brazilian Muniz, just 22 years old, closed the account by taking advantage of a rebound of the post at 61′, thus scoring his seventh goal in the last seven matches.
With the defeat, Tottenham remains fifth with 53 points, three behind Aston Villa, but with a game in hand. Fulham is 12th with 38.

In a match between teams fighting to go to European competitions, Aston Villa did not take advantage of Tottenham’s defeat and drew 1-1 away against the always complex West Ham United.
The Hammers took the lead in the 29th minute with striker Michail Antonio, who headed almost at ground level a cross from the right by Vladimir Coufal. In the 79th minute, Italian Nicoló Zaniolo equalized with a first-time finish off a pass into the heart of the box from winger Moussa Diaby.
The Villans remain fourth with 56 points, three more than the Spurs but with a game in hand, while West Ham is seventh with 44, maintaining their European aspirations.
