The Italian Serie A season is on its way to begin the 30th matchday, meaning that we are entering the last stretch of the season. In this context, Inter has already run away at the top, but the battle for the other top places is red hot.

We will divert our attention right to the 6th and 7th placed teams on the scoreboard, as Napoli and Atalanta are two clubs with intentions of entering the next Champions League. As such, this game is key.

Both teams are not at their best, but this is their best chance to give a hit to the table and start climbing the table.

Why Bet on Napoli?

Napoli will be hosts, although this season, it has not meant much, at least compared to the last campaign. However, for the Serie A, they are coming from a six-match unbeaten streak, even though their previous two were draws. With 12 wins, nine draws, and eight losses, they can still recover a lot of ground with 27 points yet to play for.

The last time, they fought back to earn a 1-1 draw at San Siro against the leaders, so they should feel confident coming into this next match.

Even though the team was knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona, Il Partenopei have experienced something of a revival under interim manager Francesco Calzona, who made his way back to Naples for a short-term contract before steering Slovakia through Euro 2024 in the summer.

Napoli has suffered just one loss from seven since Calzona took the reins, and they are enjoying their best unbeaten run in the league since early last year when they put together eight straight wins en route to the title.

Why Bet on Atalanta?

Atalanta is higher on the board and has had a better season than the locals, being alive in Europe after eliminating Sporting CP. However, their momentum is pretty poor, as they accumulated many wins until a row of key games featuring Milan, Inter, Bologna, and Juventus started.

They lost two games and drew two, so it was clear that they were not prepared for great things yet. Still, they had the excuse that the Europa League round of 16 was right in the middle.

In the last match, they suffered a comeback after starting winning at Juventus home but recovered quickly to get the draw. Considering the context, it was a positive result, but not the one they needed. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side has only managed to land two points from their last four matches, and the team is now in danger of going through five games without getting a victory for the first time in Serie A since February 2022.

Final Betting Analysis: Napoli vs. Atalanta

Napoli have been not up to par with their best performances at their home field this term. Meanwhile, Atalanta is in the 10th spot for points won on the road in Serie A, and with the sticky situation they are dealing with, they will likely not be at their best here.

There may be a chance for the teams to draw, but the thing is that we believe that Atalanta won’t be in good enough physical or mental form to be competitive in this match, so we are expecting Napoli to find an opening and get the win. Let’s remember that the Partenopei won the first duel this season in Bergamo, and that was in one of the worst moments of the season for the defending champions.

We’ll go for another 2-1.

Go for a victory for the locals at 2.14. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $114 for a total payout of $214.
