Serie A Matchday 27 Betting Favorites

Last Updated on February 27, 2024 2:11 pm by Erwin Noguera

Serie A seems to have already been defined, but that does not prevent us from having great games on Matchday 27, such as the one between Napoli and Juventus, in a match that goes beyond soccer.

The Neapolitans represent the south and the Bianconero the north, so at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, we will see a derby.

In addition to this classic, AC Milan will have to improve their level by visiting Lazio, Roma is on a great streak and will play against Monza in search of getting closer to the Champions League, while the leader, Inter, will host Genoa.

Lazio is struggling to get off the ground in Serie A, and having the Champions League series against a team in crisis like Bayern Munich is not going to help them in the league. Maurizio Sarri’s side has won just one of their last five games at the Olimpico in Rome. They have also lost seven of their last ten matches against this opponent. They are coming off a loss versus Fiorentina in Serie A and are in eighth place with 40 points.

AC Milan’s last two results have not been good, that’s why they have lost the chance to take the second place from Juventus. They have just been beaten by Monza away and drew with Atalanta at home. Counting the Europa League, they have two defeats and a draw in their last three games. Stefano Pioli’s side are excellent visitors, scoring 24 points in 13 games and winning three of their previous four away matches.

Lazio vs. AC Milan Betting Pick: AC Milan

Serie A Matchday 27: Monza vs. Roma

Saturday, March 2, noon ET at the Brianteo Stadium

Moneyline odds:

Monza 3.745

Roma 1.02

Monza at home is stronger than it looks, and their win against Milan two matchdays ago proves it. This club has five games without losing, winning three of them. That has them in the middle of the table, far from the possibility of losing the category and still with the possibility of qualifying for an international cup.

Roma are on a roll with the arrival of Daniele De Rossi as technical director. They have seven wins in 10 games, are alive in the Europa League, and it seems that Paulo Dybala left his injuries behind to lend a hand, scoring a hat-trick in the last matchday to beat Torino 3-2. If only for the finish, the Argentine’s duo with Romelu Lukaku could be pivotal in ending the season well. They have had a remarkable resurgence, winning five of their last six games in Serie A and moving to sixth place, just four points behind fourth-placed Bologna.

Monza vs. Roma Betting Pick: Roma

Serie A Matchday 27: Napoli vs. Juventus

When and Where?

Sunday, March 3, 2:45 pm ET at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium

Moneyline odds:

Napoli 2.605

 Juventus 3.04

Draw Offs

3.305

Napoli has the match its fans are looking forward to the most: they host Juventus. A win can wash their faces in a year to forget for the Neapolitans, who have four games without a win, drawing the last three. They are ninth with 37 points and are likely to miss out on an international tournament next season. A spice is that after this match, they will have to go to Spain to play in the Champions League against Barcelona after the 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Although they overcame Frosinone, at the most important moment of the season Juventus’ level dropped and is now nine points behind Inter, so the objective now is to keep the second place. The Bianconero have only one win in their last five matches, but away from home, they have only lost twice in the campaign (vs. Sassuolo and Inter).

In 8 of the last 10 Serie A matches between the two, the difference has been just one goal.

Napoli vs. Juventus Betting Pick: Draw

Serie A Matchday 27: Inter vs. Genoa

When and Where?

Monday, March 4, 2:45 pm ET at San Siro

Moneyline odds:

Inter 1.308

Genoa 12.1

Draw Offs

5.93

Inter is indomitable in Serie A. They have a game in hand on the chasing pack but are nine points clear. They beat Lecce 0-4, and Lautaro Martinez reported with a brace. The Argentine is the top scorer in Serie A with 22 goals. In addition, they are the second-best home team in the tournament, conceding only five points.

Genoa has lost only one of its last ten games, won four of them, and drew the rest. With their 30 points, the possibility of relegation is no longer as likely. Away from home, they have lost six times but are unbeaten in the last six games as visitors.

Inter vs. Genoa Betting Pick: Inter
