Why Bet on Ukraine?

Ukraine is a team that knows how to compete well, thus why it is a regular at the European Championship, a tournament in which it has been participating without interruption since the 2012 edition, reaching the quarterfinals in 2020.

To improve on that achievement and give joy to people who need it, the Ukrainian team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1 in the semifinals of the playoffs. Roman Yaremchuck and Artem Dovbyk scored the goals and managed to come from behind in the last five minutes. Yaremchuk was the star of the night, coming on in the 81st minute, scoring the equalizer in the 85th, and assisting Dovbyk in the 88th, but it is precisely the Girona striker on whom the country’s hopes are after his great campaign in LaLiga in Spain.

At the age of 26, he exploded in the Catalan team, scoring 14 goals in Iberian soccer, and in the Euro qualifiers, he scored two more. The striker wants to play the second Euro Cup of his career since he was already in 2020 and contributed a goal in his only game played.

It is curious that one of the best fullbacks in the world, Oleksandr Zinchenko, is playing as an inside midfielder in this team, although this has also allowed exploiting the left flank with the fast Mykhailo Mudryk and Vitali Mykolenko. Zinchenko is undoubtedly applying everything he learned with Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta, where, on more than one occasion, as a left-back, he was made to play on the inside.

Viktor Tsygankov has a sprained knee and is the main absentee for this team.

Why Bet on Iceland?

The Iceland National Team had a great time until not long ago when they played their first World Cup and reached the quarterfinals of Euro 2016, but today the present is different.

To reach this stage, the Icelanders beat Israel 4-1, with a hat-trick by Albert Gudmundsson and another conversion by Arnor Traustason.  Gudmundsson, 26, is having a good season in Italian soccer, with ten goals and three assists in 27 games for Genoa.  The forward and midfielders Arnar Haraldsson and Arnor Sigurdsson are probably the most recognizable names on the team.

The team’s time in the group stage was not the best, as they finished behind Luxembourg. They only managed 10 points out of 30, lost their last two games, and conceded 16 goals, so they are not a very reliable team at the back.

Although they defeated Ukraine in their last official meeting, their record against them is even, with one win apiece and two draws.

For now, Iceland hopes that captain Jóhann Berg Gudmundsson can recover from the clash with the Ukrainians.

Final Betting Analysis: Ukraine vs. Iceland

The last time these countries met was in 2017, and the win went to Iceland 2-0, a year before qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Ukraine as the favorite. The Moneyline for them shows 1.69, while Iceland has 5.2, and the draw is at 4.

Choosing a candidate between two teams with good players is never easy, but for history and for having Dovbyk, Ukraine will get the ticket to the next UEFA Euro after a 4-1 victory.

Go for a win in Ukraine’s Moneyline. If you bet $100 at 1.69, you will gain $69 for a total payout of $169.
