During the regular season, they held on tight to their 1st place. The tournament coached by the Peruvian Juan Reynoso Guzmán has the league final in their sights. However, to reach the semifinals, Cruz Azul has had to overcome the difficult Toluca, where they fought hard to come back from an elimination round that started with 2 goals to 1 loss. They were able to reverse their fate by winning 3 goals to 1 at home, thus ensuring their qualification to the best four Clausura 2021. 

Can Pachuca continue to knock off the big boys in Liga MX?
