Brazil’s MMA Legend: Rangel de Sá “Anaconda”

MMA fighter and legend, Rangel de Sá, was born in Novo Progresso, Para, Brazil on September 8, 1996. He is known in the MMA world by the alias Anaconda and is currently on the Rizzo RVT – LB team. Rangel de Sá has an MMA record of 10 wins and just 1 loss, and of those victories, 5 have been by knockout, 3 by submission, and 2 by decision of the judges. His only loss in his professional career was against Henrique Gomes by unanimous decision on July 21, 2017 in the Katana Fight 5 event.

Rangel de Sá vs Ary Santos

Anaconda’s last fight was in the Shooto Brazil Vacant 166 lbs Championship event on July 26, 2020. In this fight, he faced veteran Ary Santos, in which the fight was contested at the beginning of the first round. Blows came and went by both fighters and at minute 1:53, Rangel gave a slam that ended Santos and won the fight immediately.

Rangel de Sá vs Paulo Henrique

Shooto Brasil 96 was played on September 27, 2019, with Anaconda vs Paulo Henrique. This was the second-best fight of the night’s preliminaries. Rangel started this fight with great offense and ended with a fulminating knockout of Henrique at minute 2:25 of the first round.

Another of Rangel de Sá’s excellent knockout victories was at the Max Fight 23 event on June 28, 2019. Rangel de Sá defeated Tamyray Lacerda with a spectacular combination of knockout punches. The fight was about to end in its first round, but Rangel did not give up and ended up finishing his opponent in minute 4:59 of the first round.

Rangel de Sá is one of Brazil’s MMA fighters, who in his short professional career, has scored many impressive knockouts. This fight took place on September 6, 2019, where Rangel de Sá fought and defeated Caio Fernandes. This was one of Anaconda’s most impressive fights as he managed to finish Fernandes within 15 seconds of the first round with a technical knockout.
