On the Eastern side, we got an unexpected turn of events, as it all comes down to a clash between the 3rd and 4th seed. The Knicks and the Pacers face each other after the first eliminated the Celtics, the latter took out the Cavaliers in the semifinals.

NBA Conference Finals 2025: Thunder vs. Timberwolves

The Thunder ran into some trouble in the second round, as they needed seven games to get past the Denver Nuggets, but they eventually got the job done. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in his MVP-caliber season, and Chet Holmgren anchoring the defense, OKC has looked pised and polished beyond their years.

Their comeback series win over CLeveland proves they can take a punch and keep swinging, Indiana’s pace and ball movement stand in contrast to New York’s relative lack of creativity on offense, but we believe this first match might be the one where the Pacers test the water (and have a hard time) before they push the pace and win the series.
