The NFL regular season is about to kick off, but the preparation phase still has one more weekend to go. Among the most intriguing matchups is the clash between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens, two teams that had a strong 2024 campaign.
So far, the Ravens have had a very promising preseason, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 24-16 in their latest outing.
Washington canโt say the same, as theyโve been blown out in their most recent games. Their latest loss came 31-17 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Why Bet on Commanders?
After an excellent 2024, in which they came just one game short of the Super Bowl, the Washington Commanders are expected to take a step forward in the NFC.
However, the preseason has been disappointing so far. For instance, in their latest game, they fell 31-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals in a poor defensive showing.
That same weakness had already been exposed against the New England Patriots, a team surrounded by doubts about whether they can perform well in the regular season. That day, Washington lost 48-18.
Itโs clear that the preseason is for experimenting and mistakes are allowed, but losing in such fashion in two games is a warning sign to act quickly and not squander what could be a year of validation.
To find their way back to winning, it will be crucial for cornerback Marshon Lattimore to deliver at the expected level after dealing with a hamstring injury. At least he has been available, which is a positive for the team.
Another key issue is resolving the future of Terry McLaurin, who just came off the injured list but had previously requested the chance to leave the team.
Why Bet on Ravens?
The Baltimore Ravens have spent years fighting to reach the Super Bowl, but luck has not been on their side. Last year, they were eliminated in the divisional round, losing a very close game to the Buffalo Bills.
This preseason, however, theyโve been on fire, playing twice and defeating both the Dallas Cowboys and the Indianapolis Colts.
In that latest matchup, they came away with a 24-16 win despite not getting a standout performance from their quarterbacks.
According to experts, Baltimore is considered one of the top three favorites to win the NFL this season. But first, theyโll have to secure their third straight divisional title.
On their roster, they feature a clear MVP candidate in Lamar Jackson, a quarterback who surpassed 4,000 passing yards last year while completing 66% of his throws.
And itโs not just Jackson. They also have Derrick Henry playing at an excellent level, making Baltimore a nightmare for opposing defenses.
The lingering question is whether the slow defensive start they showed in 2024 will resurface this season. The defensive coordinator made the right adjustments last year, and if that trend continues, this franchise shouldnโt have any major weaknesses.
Tight end Mark Andrews is also expected to have a strong campaign as he heads into the final year of his contract. Last season, he led his position with 11 touchdowns.
Final Betting Analysis: Commanders vs. Ravens
Although this should be an opportunity for the Commanders to close out the preseason with a win, the victory will go to the better team of the two: the Baltimore Ravens.
At Gambyl Exchange the numbers shows the Ravens as favorites with a Moneyline of -149, while the Commanders have a Moneyline of +125.
Last year, these teams faced each other, with Baltimore coming out on top 30-23.
