Why Bet on the Packers?

It’s been a great season so far for the Green Bay Packers, but there are still a few things to look at. With a 5-2-1 record, they’re leading the NFC North, but the race is tight; the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears are both 5-3, while the Minnesota Vikings sit at 4-4.

They’re coming off a home loss to what was, on paper, an inferior opponent, the Carolina Panthers. The 13-16 defeat came on a Ryan Fitzgerald field goal as time expired. The Packers’ offense was limited to a rushing touchdown from Josh Jacobs and two field goals by Brandon McManus.

Jordan Love completed 26 of 37 passes for 273 yards, took one sack, and threw an interception, his third of the season.

One concerning trend for the Packers is that the games they haven’t won have come against teams they should have handled easily. They lost to the Cleveland Browns, who were 0-2 at the time and are now 2-6; tied with the Dallas Cowboys, who were 1-2 then and now 3-5-1; and lost to the Panthers, who were 4-4 entering that matchup.

Why Bet on Eagles?

The Philadelphia Eagles are fully determined to defend their title. Thanks to the Packers’ loss last week, they’ve climbed to the top of the NFC with a 6-2 record. They also hold a comfortable lead in their division, as the second-place Cowboys sit at 3-5-1.

The Eagles are coming off a 38-20 win over the New York Giants in a great performance by Jalen Hurts, who completed 15 of 20 passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Hurts had thrown three touchdown passes in the previous game and now has a total of 15 on the season, so almost half of them have been in the last two games.

Tight end Dallas Goedert caught two of those touchdowns and now has seven in the year —his best mark in eight seasons— ranking second in receiving touchdowns, just one behind Davante Adams. Jahan Dotson and Saquon Barkley scored the other two. In addition, Barkley added another touchdown on the ground, only his fourth rushing score of the season.

Barkley, who suffered a groin injury in the second half against the Giants, practiced normally this week, so he’s expected to be available for Monday’s game. His last performance was his best of the season, his only game with two touchdowns, and his highest yardage total (150). It could very well mark a turning point for him.

Final Betting Analysis: Packers vs. Eagles

A great matchup that could be a potential NFC Championship preview. The Packers have shown plenty of positives, but they’ve stumbled when they shouldn’t have. They’re coming off a home loss, and it’s hard to imagine two straight disappointments in front of their fans, so we believe they’ll take the win.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have the Packers as the favorite, with their Moneyline at -135, while the Eagles are listed at +115.

The last time these two teams met was on January 12 of this year in the playoffs, where the Eagles won 22-10. Philadelphia has three straight wins, but all at home. The last time they played in Wisconsin was in 2020, and Green Bay came out on top.

Go for a win for the Packers. If you bet $100 at -135, you will gain $74 for a total payout of $174.
