Why Bet on the Raiders?
After winning their season opener on the road against the Patriots, the Las Vegas Raiders (1-4) were expected to show some promise this year, but it all turned out to be an illusion. They’ve now lost four straight games and sit at the bottom of the AFC West.
Last weekend, they were humiliated by the Colts, who didn’t allow them to score a single rushing touchdown and crushed them 40-6. A field goal by Daniel Carlson opened the game, and another by him closed it—that’s as far as their offense went.
It was another rough night for Geno Smith, who completed 25 of 36 passes for 228 yards but was intercepted twice. That makes nine interceptions for the 35-year-old quarterback, who now leads the NFL in that negative category. Smith had 15 last season with the Seattle Seahawks, and fans are already calling for Kenny Pickett, who joined from the Philadelphia Eagles this year but hasn’t played yet.
Another bad piece of news for the Raiders is that their star player, Brock Bowers, who had a phenomenal rookie season last year, breaking multiple records, is not at 100% physically due to a knee injury, and his numbers have dropped significantly. He didn’t play against the Colts, and coach Pete Carroll has said they’ll be monitoring him daily to determine if he’ll be ready for Sunday. The good news is that Eric Stokes is fully recovered and expected to start.
Why Bet on Titans?
The Tennessee Titans (1-4) came into the weekend with a terrible streak of 10 straight regular-season losses, but against all odds, they managed to break it with a 21-22 road win over the Arizona Cardinals.
It was a wild game. The play where Emari Demercado dropped the ball to celebrate just before entering the end zone, and the incredible Cardinals fumble that turned into a Titans touchdown, have already gone viral around the world.
Tennessee was trailing 21-6 in the first half. Nothing happened in the third quarter, but in the fourth, they scored 16 points to pull off their first win, sealed by a Joey Slye field goal on the final play.
It was also the first career win for rookie Cameron Ward, who completed 21 of 39 passes for 265 yards. He was intercepted once, sacked twice, and on five rushing attempts, heended up losing six yards.
Brian Callahan has several players nursing injuries, but many of them are expected to recover in time for Sunday, so he should have few absences.
Final Betting Analysis: Raiders vs. Titans
It’s a matchup between two teams performing at a very low level. The numbers are slightly more favorable for the Raiders, and considering they’re playing at home and have a stronger roster, we believe the victory will stay in Las Vegas.
The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have the Raiders as the favorite, with their Moneyline at -240, while the Titans are listed at +195.
The last time they played was on September 25, 2022, when the Titans won 24-22, while the last time the Raiders hosted was in 2019, and they also lost.
Go for a win for the Raiders. If you bet $100 at -240, you will gain $42 for a total payout of $142.
