Serie A continues to deliver a great season full of surprises and constant changes at the top, and this weekend, with Matchday 20, was no exception.

League leaders Inter were unable to get the job done at home and drew with third-placed Napoli, so the gap at the top remained the same. The team that failed to take advantage of this was Milan, who also drew against a Fiorentina side currently in the relegation places.

Roma were the ones who managed to close the gap after their victory over Sassuolo and are now fourth, awaiting Juventus’ match.

In a match where Roma kept pushing and pushing, they finally managed to score two late goals to defeat Sassuolo 2–0.

The capital side registered 26 shots in the match, only six on target, and just two found the back of the net—both coming late, in the 76th and 79th minutes.

First, it was Manu Koné with a header after a cross from Matías Soulé, and then the Argentine finished following a low cross from the right by Daniele Ghilardi and a slight deflection off Stephan El Shaarawy.

With this win, Roma reached 39 points, four behind Inter, although having played one more match. Sassuolo, meanwhile, sits 11th with 23 points.

The ‘Viola’, who had collected seven of the last 12 points available, including their first wins in their most recent matches, took the lead in the 66th minute with a header from Pietro Comuzzo off a corner kick.

In the 90th minute, just as many were already celebrating, the ‘Rossoneri’ recovered the ball in midfield and, after a couple of passes, Christopher Nkunku struck a powerful right-footed shot to make it 1–1.

In the final play, Fiore had the win, but Marco Brescianini’s effort struck the crossbar.

In the end, Milan remain second with 40 points, three behind Inter, while Fiorentina are 18th with 14 points, close to moving out of the relegation zone.

In the most anticipated matchup of the round, Napoli earned a draw away from home against league leaders Inter thanks to a brace from Scott McTominay.

The scoring was opened in the ninth minute with a left-footed cross-shot from Federico Dimarco, who made a great run before receiving the pass from Marcus Thuram.

The visitors found the equalizer in the 26th minute when a cross from the left by Elif Elmas was met by McTominay, who finished first time.
