Saquarema Surf Festival ROXY Pro QS 2021 Surf LATAM Contenders<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

One of the most important surfing events<\/a> of the\u00a0Qualifying Series\u00a0<\/strong>every year in the Brazilian territory, the\u00a0Saquarema Surf Festival ROXY Pro QS<\/strong>, will promote 6 competitions from November 15 to 21, 2021 of the\u00a0World Surf League<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on the beaches of\u00a0Itan\u00faa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 200 athletes will participate in this event, of which 128 will participate in the Men’s Quicksilver Pro QS 3000<\/strong>; 32 in the Women’s ROXY Pro QS 3000<\/strong>; 32 in the Men Longboard Pro<\/strong>; and 16 in the Women’s Longboard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Saquarema Surf Festival ROXY Pro QS<\/strong> will be on behalf of the Brazilian champion Leo Neves<\/strong>, who died surfing on these same beaches in a competition in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Yago Dora<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    One of the Brazilian surfers who started surfing later in his career, Yago Dora<\/strong>, was born on May 18, 1996, in Florian\u00f3polis, Santa Catarina, Brazil<\/strong>. In his childhood (until he was 11 years old), Yago Dora <\/strong>was a soccer fan; so much so that he did not like surfing at all, even when his father was a professional surfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After discovering that surfing was his passion, Dora<\/strong> has been one of the best Brazilian surfers since his debut. As he has shown this season where, thanks to the sum of the points in the different events he has participated in, he is in position # 9 of the men’s CT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Adriano De Souza<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The 34-year-old experienced Adriano de Souza <\/strong>is one of the Brazilian surfers who most inspires young surfers in their beginnings; since Adriano’s<\/strong> life was not easy at all to become a professional surfer. De Souza <\/strong>entered the Championship Tou<\/strong>r in 2006. After many years of trying and giving his all, he managed to win the world championship in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Daniela Rosas<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The young and promising surfer Daniela Rosas <\/strong>was born in Lima, Peru<\/strong>, on January 21, 2002. Rosas<\/strong> is one of the best surfers in Latin America <\/strong>today; at a young age, has managed to be side by side with the best in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Daniela Rosas <\/strong>has in her record an excellent victory at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Silvana Lima<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Finally, another veteran and feisty Brazilian surfer, Silvana Lima<\/strong>, is one of the athletes who are considered an example to follow for many young women who want to start in a sport. Lima<\/strong> learned to surf on a shapeless wooden board; it was not until he was 14 that she was given a real board to make her dream of being a surfer come true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Her best participation recently was in the Corona Monta\u00f1ita Open presented by Hyundai New Tucson 2022 of the Women’s Qualifying Series<\/strong>. There she managed to take first place and 1,000 points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
