Murodjon Akhmadaliev<\/strong>\u00a0is an Uzbek professional boxer<\/a>, born 2 November 1994, who is a unified\u00a0super-bantamweight champion<\/strong>, having held the\u00a0WBA\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>(Super), and\u00a0IBF\u00a0<\/strong>titles since 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an amateur, he won a silver medal at the 2015 World Championships<\/strong> and bronze at the 2016 Olympics as a bantamweight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of April 2021, he is ranked as the world’s best active super-bantamweight<\/strong> by The Ring, fourth by BoxRec, and second best by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Akhmadaliev vs. David Michel Paz<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    On 10 March 2018, Akhmadaliev <\/strong>made his professional debut against David Michel Paz <\/strong>of Argentina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Murodjon <\/strong>won the bout via knockout in the opening round after his opponent was unable to recover from a body shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Akhmadaliev vs. Carlos Gaston Suarez<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Akhmadaliev <\/strong>fought for a second time professionally on 21 April 2018 against Carlos Gaston Suarez<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      He won via technical knockout after hitting his opponent with several unanswered shots in the fourth round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Akhmadaliev vs. Luis Fernando Molina<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        On 14 July 2018, Akhmadaliev <\/strong>defeated the durable Luis Fernando Molina<\/strong> on route to a unanimous points decision win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Akhmadaliev vs. Ramon Contreras<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Akhmadaliev\u2019s <\/strong>fourth professional fight was against Ramon Contreras<\/strong> on 23 August 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          In the opening round, Akhmadaliev <\/strong>put his opponent on the canvas after he landed a heavy left hand to the body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Referee Thomas Taylor proceeded to end the bout after Contreras <\/strong>was unable to beat the ten count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Akhmadaliev vs. Issac Zarate<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Akhmadaliev <\/strong>fought against Issac Zarate<\/strong> on 24 November 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            He managed to hurt Zarate <\/strong>a number of times throughout the bout after landing a series of heavy punches and in the ninth round, Akhmadaliev <\/strong>landed several hard blows to the head of Zarate <\/strong>which forced referee Eric Dali to end the bout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Akhmadaliev vs. Carlos Carlson<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              On 26 April 2019 Akhmadaliev <\/strong>fought against Carlos Carlson<\/strong>, in the third round, Akhmadaliev <\/strong>put his opponent on the canvas after landing a heavy right hand to the head Carlson<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Referee Jerry Cantu immediately stopped the bout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Akhmadaliev vs. Wilner Soto<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                On 13 September 2019, Akhmadaliev <\/strong>beat Wilner Soto<\/strong> by technical knockout after landing several unanswered punches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                • Akhmadaliev vs. Roman:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  On 11 December 2019, it was announced that Akhmadaliev <\/strong>would face unified WBA <\/strong>and IBF super-bantamweight <\/strong>champion Daniel Roman<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  The bout was booked to take place on 13 September 2019 in New York City, but Roman<\/strong> suffered a shoulder injury during training camp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  The fight was rescheduled to take place on 30 January 2020 at the Meridian at Island Gardens in Miami, Florida. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Akhmadaliev <\/strong>defeated Roman <\/strong>via split decision to become Uzbekistan’s first-ever unified world champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  • Akhmadaliev vs. Iwasa:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                    Murojdon Akhmadaliev<\/strong> was a -700 favorite heading into the bout, with most fight analysts predicting an Akhmadaliev <\/strong>stoppage victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    Akhmadaliev <\/strong>beat the veteran contender by a fifth-round knockout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
