Andr\u00e9-Pierre Gignac<\/strong> is a naturalized French Mexican<\/strong> footballer who was born in Martigues, France<\/strong>, on December 5, 1985. Gignac<\/strong> plays in the forward position and his current team is the Tigres UANL<\/strong> of the Mexican Soccer League<\/a><\/strong>.

His debut was in 2004 when he was signed by Lorient<\/strong> in Ligue 2<\/strong>. He remained for three seasons in this team and, in the 2006-2007 season with Lorient<\/strong> promoted to Ligue 1<\/strong>; he was the top scorer of his team with 9 goals in 37 games played.

The following season, Gignac<\/strong> signed a 4-year contract with Toulouse<\/strong>, a team with which he was the league’s top scorer in his debut season.
