Savannah Rose Marshall<\/strong>\u00a0is a British professional boxer <\/a><\/strong>born on 19th, May 1991 who has held the\u00a0WBO <\/a>female middleweight title\u00a0<\/strong>since October 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an amateur, she became the first British female world champion after securing gold at the 2012 World Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has been nicknamed the ‘Silent Assassin’ due to her shyness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of October 2020, she is ranked as the world’s second-best active female middleweight<\/strong> by BoxRec and the fifth-best active super-middleweight<\/strong> by The Ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 18 May 2017, Floyd Mayweather Jr.<\/strong> announced to the press that he had signed Marshall <\/strong>to a professional promotional contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marshall <\/strong>made her professional boxing debut at super-middleweight <\/strong>on the undercard of The Money Fight<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada on 26 August 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marshall lifted the vacant WBA super-middleweight Inter-continental title <\/strong>in Sofia, Bulgaria, after winning all 10 rounds to claim a comfortable points victory over Yanina Orozco <\/strong>(Argentina).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marshall vs. Rankin<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

On 31 October 2020 in her 9th professional fight, Marshall <\/strong>became the WBO female middleweight champion<\/strong> with a TKO victory over opponent Hannah Rankin<\/strong> at Wembley Arena. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There were times when I thought, ‘When will my chance come?’ But tonight it did and I grabbed it with both hands”, she told Sky Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
