After two weeks in Hawaii<\/strong>, the PGA Tour<\/a> <\/strong>returns to California<\/strong> this week for The American Express 2022<\/strong>, a tournament that takes place at La Quinta’s Pete Dye Stadium Course<\/strong>, with $7.6 million in prize money.

Last season’s FedExCup<\/strong> champion Patrick Cantlay <\/strong>and World #1 Jon Rahm<\/strong> from Spain<\/strong> lead the field at The American Express 2022<\/strong>, as does Woo Kim<\/strong>, who outpointed Cantlay<\/strong> by one stroke in 2021 come back to defend him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patrick Cantlay<\/strong> hit a field record 61 in the final round a year ago, but ultimately fell one shot shy of Si Woo Kim’s<\/strong> winning total and, the #1 favorite to take this tournament, the American Express<\/strong> winner 2018, Jon Rahm<\/strong>, returns to action after the great doubt that was had regarding his participation in this event. This is mainly due to the large number of tournaments that Rahm<\/strong> is going to play at the beginning of the year because he played the Sentry <\/strong>and is also going to play the Farmers Insurance Open, the Phoenix Open, and the Genesis Invitational in Riviera<\/strong>.

In addition to Jon<\/strong>, the most prominent names at American Express are Patrick Cantlay<\/strong>, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler, Tony Finau, and Rickie Fowler<\/strong>.
