The Paraguayan team came to this match with the only chance they had of getting their pass to the next World Cup in Qatar 2022<\/a> <\/strong>by achieving a victory, something that was impossible for them due to the forcefulness and excellent level of play shown by one of the best teams of the world today, Brazil<\/strong>.

From the start of the match, Brazil<\/strong> was threatening Paraguay’s<\/strong> goal and, in minute 2, Raphina<\/strong> opened the scoring for Brazil<\/strong>, but this goal was later annulled after reviewing the VAR and observing that Raphina <\/strong>had committed a handball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Brazilian<\/strong> siege continued and the Paraguayan<\/strong> defense kept trying to withstand each one of the attacks of the Brazilian<\/strong> attackers. Paraguay<\/strong> tried to warm up in this match and, in the 28th minute, they advanced their defensive lines looking for a better projection in the attack, something that was used by Brazil, <\/strong>and Marquinhos <\/strong>saw the space and filtered a pass for Raphina<\/strong> to define the first goal for the Canarinha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paraguay<\/strong> was not far behind, they knew that their only chance to stay alive in these qualifiers was to get a victory, so their coach began to make changes desperately looking for goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the game dominated, Brazil<\/strong> slowed down the pace. They had the victory in their pocket and Paraguay<\/strong> was not generating danger in the Brazilian<\/strong> area. But, the Brazilian<\/strong> claw and their style of play did not allow them to fall asleep in the game, in the 84th minute Dani Alves<\/strong> made a shot that was stopped by Antony Silva<\/strong> and, two minutes later, Anthony Matheus dos Santos<\/strong> scored the third to finish sentencing the match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, as if that were not enough and taking advantage of how sleepy the Paraguayan <\/strong>defense was, Brazil<\/strong> managed to score the 4-0 thanks to Rodrygo’s <\/strong>goal at minute 88.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This sentenced the aspirations that Paraguay <\/strong>still had left. Brazil<\/strong> managed to demonstrate their incredible level of play, against a weak Paraguay<\/strong> that could not display their game during the 90 minutes and were officially eliminated from the qualifiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
