Jonathan Javier Rodr\u00edguez Portillo<\/strong>, commonly known by his nickname Cabecita<\/strong>, is an Uruguayan professional footballer born on July 6th, 1993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of January 11th, 2022, he currently plays as a forward for Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr<\/strong> and the Uruguay national team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Years: Pe\u00f1arol<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Born in Florida, Uruguay, Rodr\u00edguez <\/strong>began his career in 2013 with local club Pe\u00f1arol <\/strong>in the Uruguayan’s Primera Divisi\u00f3n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his first season, he scored 0 goals in 27 matches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also made appearances for the club in Copa Libertadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the 2019 season, he was traded and signed with Cruz Azul<\/strong>, where he would not only find his home but become a hero for the team and its fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his 3 years in the club, he participated in exactly one hundred matches and scored 47 goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the action was done in the 2020-21 season, where not only did he manage to score 24 goals in 44 matches, but he was a crucial part in allowing the team to capture the title, which the team had not held in the last 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only that, but thanks to his goals, they also became the winners of the “Campeon de Campeones” Title for the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
