Bar\u00e7a<\/strong> returned to Camp Nou<\/strong>, 50 days later, to face Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid<\/strong> in a match <\/a>that was very important for both teams, since they were directly playing for fourth place in the table and, consequently, the fourth-place awarded by quota for the next UEFA Champions League<\/strong>. Although there is still a long way to go, the Catalans<\/strong> feel very powerful after this excellent victory.

The match did not disappoint: goals, debuts, comeback, expulsion…. and a victory that placed the Catalans<\/strong> in Champions<\/strong> position six months later.

Both teams came out with their entire arsenal, except for\u00a0Griezman,\u00a0<\/strong>for this match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emotions of this match were from the very beginning of it, since, after an attack by\u00a0FC Barcelona<\/strong>, \u200b\u200bAtl\u00e9tico de Madrid<\/strong>\u00a0managed to score the first goal of the match in the 8th minute, thanks to excellent assists by the former striker of\u00a0Barcelona<\/strong>,\u00a0\u200b\u200bLuis Su\u00e1rez<\/strong>, so that\u00a0Yannick Ferreira Carrasco<\/strong>\u00a0put the 1-0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just 2 minutes later, FC Barcelona <\/strong>achieved a quick play between Traor\u00e9 and Alves<\/strong>, so that the latter enabled Jordi Alba <\/strong>with a very good cross and he, emulating what his friend Messi <\/strong>did many times, sent it to the back of the arc with a spectacular goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After several approaches by both teams, a mistake within the area by the young Jo\u00e3o F\u00e9lix <\/strong>and constant approaches by FC Barcelona <\/strong>from the flank by Dani Alves and Adama Traor\u00e9<\/strong>, Barcelona<\/strong> turned the score around with a Gavi<\/strong> header that ended inside of Oblak’s<\/strong> arch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minutes passed at Camp Nou <\/strong>and the teams continued to hurt each other, but without finishing any play with a goal. It should be noted that at this point in the first half, close to the 40th minute, FC Barcelona <\/strong>had control of the match.

At minute 43, after a cross, again by Dani Alves <\/strong>and poor defense by Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid<\/strong>, Barcelona’s<\/strong> third goal fell from the feet of Ara\u00fajo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game went into the break with very good feelings for FC Barcelona<\/strong>, \u200b\u200bwhich for the first time this season saw a very dominant and aggressive team, just as we have become accustomed to over the last 15 years.

The second half began in the same vein as the first half, FC Barcelona <\/strong>dominating Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid <\/strong>and, just 4 minutes into the second half, a back pass from Jordi Alba <\/strong>who walked through the Oblak<\/strong> area, arrive at the feet of Dani Alves<\/strong> who scored the 4-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the match almost defined, FC Barcelona<\/strong> slowed down the game and Alt\u00e9tico Madrid<\/strong> took advantage of this situation, so that, in the 58th minute after a corner, the ball entered the back of Ter Stegen’s<\/strong> net headed by the Uruguayan Luis Suarez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At minute 69, Dani Alves<\/strong> commits an incredible foul on Carrasco<\/strong> and, after checking the VAR<\/strong>, referee Gil Manzano <\/strong>determined that it was a red card foul, for which Alves<\/strong> was expelled from the match.

It was believed that Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid<\/strong> would take advantage of this situation, but FC Barcelona<\/strong> excellently organized themselves and managed to maintain the result until the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
