The LayBack Pro presented by the City of Florian\u00f3polis\u00a0<\/strong>is the event that will close the 2021-2022 regional ranking of the\u00a0World Surf League Latin America.<\/strong>\u00a0It’ll be\u00a0<\/strong>next week in\u00a0Praia Mole<\/strong>, in the capital of\u00a0Santa Catarina<\/strong>. In this competition, the South American professional surfing champion (male and female) of the 2021-2022 season will be crowned. Then the lists of surfers from the continent will be ready to compete in the\u00a02022 Challenger Series<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LayBack Pro <\/strong>will be from April 6-10, 2022 at Praia de Mole <\/strong>in Florian\u00f3polis<\/strong>. This event will be a QS 1000 <\/strong>for both men and women and will close the South American ranking of the WSL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Wiggolly Dantas<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The veteran Brazilian surfer Wiggolly Dantas<\/strong> arrives at this Layback Pro 2022<\/strong> with the firm conviction of showing all the attendees and the world of surfing, that he is still the great surfer who was for 5 consecutive years playing the Championship Tour<\/strong>, specifically, from 2014 to 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dantas<\/strong> comes from being part of the Challenger Series<\/strong> in 2021, where he managed to play 4 events. However, he did not have much luck since his best presentation was in the Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold Haleiwa Challenger<\/strong>. There he got the #17 position and added 2200 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Ian Gouveia<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Another of the experienced surfers who will say he is present at this LayBack Pro 2022 <\/strong>and who is also a former Championship Tour contender<\/strong>, Ian Gouveia<\/strong>, arrives with the mission of showing why he is one of the favorites to win this tournament. Thus return after 4 years, to the Championship Tour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The best result obtained by Gouveia<\/strong> in 2021 was the #17 position in the MEO Vissla Pro Ericeira<\/strong>. There he also scored 2000 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Daniella Rosas<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The 19-year-old Peruvian and one of the best surfers in Latin America, Daniella Rosas<\/strong>, arrives at this LayBack Pro 2022<\/strong>, with the firm conviction of fulfilling her dream of scoring many points and being able to be, very shortly, disputing a season on the Championship Tour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Rosas <\/strong>had a very good year in 2021, where thanks to his excellent participation in the QS<\/strong>, particularly the first place in the Corona Salinas Open presented by Hyundai New Tucson 2022<\/strong>, she was able to play a full season in the Challenger Series<\/strong>. However, she did not have much luck in the 4 tournaments he participated in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Tania Hinckel<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Finally, we have the Brazilian Tania Hinckel<\/strong>, another of the promises of surfing in Brazil<\/strong> who comes with the confidence of being able to play another very good year in the QS<\/strong>, which will allow her to climb the Challenger Series<\/strong> and thus return to the Women’s Championship Tour<\/strong>, for the first time since 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
