The new South American event that will host the best regional and international surfers in search of classification to the Challenger Series<\/strong>; the Banco do Brasil Surf Circuit<\/strong>, will take place in three regional stages of the WSL QS<\/strong> in Brazil<\/strong>. The season starts from April 21 to 24, in Praia da Ferrugem<\/strong>, in Garopaba<\/strong>, on the coast of Santa Catarina<\/strong>. Then it moves to Salvador<\/strong>, in Praia de Stella Maris<\/strong>, from May 12 to 15. Finally, the final will be in S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong>, in Ubatuba<\/strong>, starting on August 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WSL<\/strong>\u00a0intends to use the\u00a0Banco do Brasil Surfing Circuit<\/strong>, to offer more opportunities to the new generation of regional surfing (male and female). Also, to seek qualifications for the\u00a0Challenger Series<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Peterson Crisanto<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Brazilian surfer Peterson Crisanto<\/strong> is the clear betting favorite to take victory in this Banco do Brasil Circuit<\/strong>. This is since he comes from a full season of the Championship Tour<\/strong>. There he managed to obtain two very good results. These results were ninth place in the Billabong Pipe Masters<\/strong> presented by Hydro Flask<\/strong>; also in the Boost Mobile Margaret<\/strong> River Pro presented by Corona<\/strong>. So it is expected to be a relatively accessible tournament for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This season has not started as he would have liked. He finished in position #49 of the Layback Pro <\/strong>in the QS<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Alex Ribeiro<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The also Brazilian surfer who comes from a full season in the highest category of surfing worldwide, the Championship Tour<\/strong>, Alex Ribeiro<\/strong>, arrives at this Banco do Brasil Circuit<\/strong> with the mission of achieving a victory that will help him to be part of the CT<\/strong> in this year 2022. Although his performances were not the best, he started the year with everything achieving fifth place in the Layback Pro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Sol Aguirre<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        The Peruvian Sol Aguirre<\/strong> arrives at this Banco do Brasil Circuit<\/strong> with the mission of asserting her status as a favorite and taking the champion trophy. Sol<\/strong> is a very aggressive young surfer who likes to go to the limit every time she gets on her board. In 2021, Aguirre<\/strong> had the privilege of being in the women’s Challenger Series<\/strong>, but she could not have good results in the 3 events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Dominic Barona<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Finally, we have the Ecuadorian and another of the favorites to take the victory in this Banco do Brasil Circuit<\/strong>, Dominic Barona<\/strong>. Dominic<\/strong>, like Sol<\/strong>, wants to add as many points as possible in this category, the QS<\/strong>, to try to be part of the Challenger Series <\/strong>again and thus be closer to the women’s CT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
