Danilo dos Santos de Oliveira<\/strong>, better known as Danilo<\/strong>, is a Brazilian footballer who was born in the city of Salvador<\/strong>, Brazil<\/strong>, on April 19, 2001. He plays as a midfielder and currently plays for Palmeiras<\/strong>, the current leader of the Brasileirao Serie A<\/a><\/strong>.

Danilo<\/strong> is one of the best midfielders in the Brasileirao<\/strong>. This 2022 has been his season of consolidation, where he is one of the players in the Brazilian championship who has recovered the most balls. Although he is not a player with an imposing presence; his enormous strength and defensive capacity have been his main weapons.

Danilo<\/strong> is a technically excellent pivot who, despite his youth, is very aware of the tactical role he plays. He brings defensive balance and pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Years<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

His beginnings were at his hometown club, Bahia<\/strong>. He played there until he was released by the team in 2017 when he was 16 years old. He then had a brief stint at PFC Cajazeiras <\/strong>and Jacuipense<\/strong>.

In 2018, Danilo <\/strong>joined Palmeiras’ U-17 affiliate<\/strong>. Thanks to his good performances and, advancing according to Palmeiras’ youth setup he became a starter on the U-20 team; just before being called up to the first team. Only 2 years later after joining Palmeiras<\/strong>, Danilo <\/strong>made his first-team debut as a substitute in his team’s victory against Red Bull Bragantino<\/strong>.

On September 10, 2020, the total purchase by Palmeiras<\/strong> was official, signing a good 5-year contract with this prestigious Brazilian club. His first goal as a professional was on December 2 of the same year, scoring the fifth goal in Palmeiras’ 5-0 victory over Delfin SC<\/strong> in the Copa Libertadores de America<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danilo dos Santos’ Present<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Right now, Danilo<\/strong> is in the sights of several important clubs in Europe<\/strong>. Also, to a large extent, this was thanks to the excellent match he played in the final of the Club World Cup <\/strong>against Chelsea<\/strong>, where he had a formidable game even though his team did not take the victory.

Thanks to his excellent performance in Brazilian soccer and in the international competitions that Palmeiras has, Danilo<\/strong> has gradually earned a place among those called up for the Brazilian senior national team. Now, Danilo<\/strong> has to prove his worth in the different friendly matches that Brazil <\/strong>will play before the Qatar 2022 World Cup<\/strong> if he wants to be into consideration by Tite.

One of the teams that would be fond in acquiring Danilo<\/strong> is FC Barcelona<\/strong>, in addition to some Premier League <\/strong>teams. His transfer to Europe would be around 20-25 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
