Apex Legends Global Series Championship<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Building on the inaugural Apex Legends Global Series<\/strong> season last year, Year 2 of the ALGS<\/a><\/strong>, created an ecosystem comprised of separate levels of competition for both professional and amateur Apex Legends players<\/strong> with the introduction of the ALGS Pro League and Challenger Circuit<\/strong> in North America, EMEA, APAC South, APAC North, and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Things went past PC players too, as EA enabled Xbox and PlayStation players to participate, bringing a large majority of our players and fans under the same competitive umbrella. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Year 2 of the ALGS will award a $5,000,000 USD total prize pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022 Apex Legends Global Series Championship \u2013 Event Preview, Schedule & Info<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When:<\/strong> Thursday, July 7th to Sunday, July 10th<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Format:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Championship will be split into three stages – Group Stage, Bracket Stage, and Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Group Stage – July 7th<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

40 teams will be split into four even groups of ten teams each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each group will play each other in a six-game series for a total of 18 games for every team in the Group Stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this stage, all 40 teams will be sent to the Bracket Stage as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Twenty teams with the highest Group Stage Score start in the winner’s bracket.<\/li>
  • Twenty teams with the lowest Group Stage Score start in the losers bracket in round 1.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Bracket Stage – July 8th~9th<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    There will be two 8-game series in the winners’ bracket and two 8-game series in the losers’ bracket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The teams will advance to the Finals as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Winners’ bracket round 1: The top ten teams will advance to the Finals. The remaining teams from this round will fall to the losers bracket in round 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Losers’ bracket round 1: The top ten teams will advance to the losers’ bracket round 2. The remaining teams from this round are eliminated from the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Losers’ bracket round 2: The top ten teams will advance to the Finals. The remaining teams from this round are eliminated from the championship.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Finals – July 10th<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      In the Finals for the 2022 championship, the twenty remaining teams will compete using the Match Point format. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The ten teams advancing from the winners’ bracket will be seeded by their placement and will start the Finals with Advance Starting Points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Placement\u00a0<\/em>Rules<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      • There is no match limit in the Finals<\/strong><\/li>
      • Once a Team reaches the minimum total points of 50 in the Finals, The next match becomes “Match Point Eligible” for that team.<\/em><\/li>
      • The first team to win a match after they are “Match Point Eligible” is declared the winner.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Seeding<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

        The top ten (10) Teams from Winners Bracket will start the Finals with points as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • 1st seed<\/em> – 10 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 2nd seed<\/em> – 9 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 3rd seed<\/em> – 8 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 4th seed<\/em> – 7 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 5th seed<\/em> – 6 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 6th seed<\/em> – 5 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 7th seed<\/em> – 4 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 8th seed<\/em> – 3 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 9th seed<\/em> – 2 points<\/strong><\/li>
        • 10th seed<\/em> – 1 point<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
