Formula 1 <\/strong>is going to hit its 15th event of the season this Sunday, September 4th, and the track selected is Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dutch Grand Prix’s Circuit Zandvoort<\/strong> is known as a real \u2018old school\u2019 track with fast, banked, and challenging corners, shaped by the natural dunes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a circuit length of 4.3 kilometers, it ranks among the shorter tracks on the\u00a0F1 calendar<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hardly anywhere else, drivers zoom past the race fans as often as they do in this course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The circuit gained popularity because of its fast, sweeping corners such as Scheivlak as well as the “Tarzanbocht” (Tarzan corner) hairpin at the end of the start\/finish straight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tarzanbocht is the most famous corner in the circuit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since there is a camber in the corner, it provides excellent overtaking opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is possible to pass around the outside as well as the easier inside lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This corner is reportedly named after a local character who had earned the nickname of Tarzan and only wanted to give up his vegetable garden in the dunes if the track’s designers named a nearby corner after him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F1 Dutch GP Race Preview and Betting Picks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Unsurprisingly, Max Verstappen is the clear favorite to win the 2022 Dutch Grand Prix<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fresh from securing his ninth victory of the season, the reigning champ is ready to hit double figures for race wins this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Things seem to indicate that Charles Leclerc is Verstappen\u2019s biggest threat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 24-year-old is the only other driver to have won multiple races this year, although he has struggled for consistency throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides that, Verstappen has an excellent teammate in Sergio Perez, who has been consistently getting good results while allowing Verstappen to remain on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perez just reclaimed second place in the World Drivers\u2019 Championship standings with a P2 finish in Belgium last weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
