One could guess you could take something from the opening five minutes against Schnell\u2026\u00a0but that\u2019s still not a great comparison because Schnell\u2019s biggest weakness is\u00a0still\u00a0Pantoja\u2019s biggest strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alexandre Pantoja vs. Steve Erceg\u00a0<strong>Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The champion is a fighter who weaponizes his durability by pushing a pace and creating chaos in which he knows he can be the more durable\u00a0one. Aside from that, he\u2019s also got an elite submission game, and his grappling is top-notch. His striking certainly isn\u2019t bad\u00a0either.<br><br>But that doesn\u2019t sound as much of a nightmare for Erceg as it does for\u00a0a lot of\u00a0other guys. Steve\u2019s done most of his work in the UFC on the feet, where he has shown some very impressive durability.\u00a0<br><br>As a result, people also forget that he\u2019s primarily a grappler, having six submissions on his record. Hardly enough to believe he\u2019ll be as sharp as when he was an active UFC fighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jonathan Martinez vs. Jos\u00e9 Aldo<strong>\u00a0Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately for Martinez, Aldo\u00a0is not going to\u00a0lose out to the leg-kicking game,\u00a0instead\u00a0he may be the one landing the significant leg strikes there. That\u00a0kind of\u00a0takes away one of Martinez\u2019s most reliable weapons, which makes this one even\u00a0more interesting.<br><br>Other than that, we genuinely don\u2019t know what more to say. Logic and history tell us that the younger and more conditioned Martinez should win here, but if Aldo manages to find a\u00a0special\u00a0Brazilian doctor of some sort, or if he\u00a0just\u00a0ends up being fortunate that father time is generous to him, then the\u00a0Jose Aldo we know and love should confidently beat Jonathan Martinez.<br><br>We are going with the latter idea\u00a0just because we love to see\u00a0Aldo in the cage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UFC 301:\u00a0<strong>Anthony Smith vs. Vitor Petrino<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on Anthony Smith?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UFC has\u00a0granted quite a reward to\u00a0Anthony Smith for his years of warrior spirit, company-first mentality, and contributions on the UFC analyst bench.\u00a0This reward is a fight against one of the LHW division\u2019s scariest upcoming prospects. People have tried to fade him with Anton Turkalj, Marcin Prachnio, Modestas Bukauskas, and\u00a0most recentlyTyson\u00a0Pedro.\u00a0<br><br>Petrino is just so physically imposing. Whether he\u2019s using his wrestling or striking, it\u00a0just\u00a0always feels like his opponents are tentative that Petrino\u2019s about to do something explosive and dangerous. It\u2019s been quite impressive seeing him show off his wrestling ability, as most believed him to be a pure striker who would struggle on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anthony Smith vs. Vitor Petrino<strong>\u00a0Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anthony Smith is\u00a0a very interesting\u00a0litmus test for any aspiring top 15\u2019er\u00a0though, because even though Smith is very shopworn and a bit mentally\u00a0muddled, he is still a\u00a0very\u00a0well-rounded martial artist who is\u00a0respectably\u00a0skilled everywhere.<br><br>He can be out-grappled by a safe guard-chilling\u00a0gameplan,\u00a0or just by generally being a more powerful striker\u00a0though, and these are two routes that Petrino can take.\u00a0<br><br>Whilst\u00a0that\u2019s enough to deem him the favorite against a declining Smith, this is enough of a step up in competition for the fans to enjoy seeing him struggle and fight for real in case he can&#8217;t find an early finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UFC 301:\u00a0<strong>Michel Pereira vs. Ihor Potieria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on Michel Pereira?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Michel Pereira is one of the hardest non-heavyweight hitters in the UFC.<br><br>He\u00a0is one of the biggest favorites on the card at UFC 301. And there\u2019s no mystery as to why. Potieria isn\u2019t overly interested in shooting for takedowns either, making this\u00a0even more of\u00a0a nightmare fight for him.<br><br>Certainly\u00a0feels like\u00a0he\u2019s been\u00a0brought down to Brazil as a live body for Pereira to wheel kick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UFC 301:\u00a0<strong>Paul Craig vs. Caio Borralho<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on Paul Craig?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul Craig has long been one of the most successful and inspiring UK fighters \u2013 and his fights at various UFC Londons have often been the highlight of the entire events.\u00a0<br><br>But in terms of in-cage ability\u2026he\u2019s as one-dimensional as it gets. His style is\u00a0pretty much\u00a0identical to Royce Gracie in the earliest UFC days.\u00a0<br><br>He has an elite submission game, but everything else in his skillset is hugely inferior, which will always limit him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on Caio Borralho?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0Caio Borralho is a severely underrated wrestler,\u00a0and that is what\u00a0makes him so great. We do not doubt that his wrestling is superior to Craig\u2019s, which will result in more top-control time for the Brazilian.\u00a0<br><br>Of course, Caio is an elite BJJ fighter\u00a0himself, so like Allen and Muniz before him, we are not worried about Craig\u2019s offense from guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paul Craig vs. Caio Borralho\u00a0<strong>Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The only other ways we could see Craig winning this fight are the same as the Muniz fight, via superior striking or cardio. Right off the bat, we don\u2019t think Craig\u2019s a better striker than Caio, and the\u00a0aforementioned wrestling\u00a0success should stop that from being the story of the fight if Caio approaches the fight intelligently.<br><br>But the cardio dynamic could be one to be wary of. We think the complaints about Caio\u2019s cardio are vastly overdone \u2013 he\u2019s won the third round on 11 of the 12 scorecards\u00a0that have\u00a0been\u00a0submitted\u00a0in his UFC career.<br><br>Caio should win this fight at least 80% of the time, so our betting pick\u00a0is placed\u00a0on him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UFC 301:\u00a0<strong>Joanderson Brito vs. Jack Shore<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on Joanderson Brito?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0Joanderson Brito is quite overrated. He\u2019s so explosive and\u00a0dangerous,\u00a0that it makes up for some\u00a0pretty\u00a0significant flaws. He\u2019s an awful minute-winner, and any opponent that can stay safe against him\u00a0is likely going to\u00a0win on the scorecards.\u00a0<br><br>Brito has bulldozed three opponents in R1, shown a moment of brilliance against Jonathan Pearce, and was out-hustled by Bill Algeo. We said when she fought Jauregui in her debut that these two could\u00a0easily\u00a0meet again in the top five of the division in a few years, and we believe that her sophomore performance against Polyana Viana showed that. Viana\u2019s\u00a0badand\u00a0it was the perfect matchup for her, but there\u2019s reason to\u00a0believe\u00a0that this one could be\u00a0too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Iasmin Lucindo<strong>\u00a0Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kowalkiewicz\u2019s resurgence has relied on her fighting opponents who\u00a0mostly\u00a0want to strike, and even if not, the wrestling of these women has been at a level she could handle.<br><br>We\u00a0just\u00a0don\u2019t expect that to be the case against Lucindo. Iasmin has an advantage in\u00a0speed,\u00a0and age\/youthfulness as 16 years the junior. A fan has to know that plays a massive part in fights, and we expect it to be here.<br><br>Karolina isn\u2019t\u00a0particularly good\u00a0on the mat if the takedowns land, but we\u00a0just\u00a0haven\u2019t seen it for some time. We saw him most recently when he obliterated the vastly inferior Westin Wilson, and God\u00a0knows how that kid got asked to come to the UFC.<br><br>Before that, we saw Silva go 15 minutes on DWCS, and his style looks\u00a0a lot\u00a0less impressive when he can\u2019t find a finish. There wasn\u2019t much investment in striking fundamentals, everything\u00a0was a\u00a0big\u00a0action with fight-ending intentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on William Gomis?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0The Frenchman has a very underrated style, one that isn\u2019t going to grab all the highlights or get him clamoring for a main event, but it\u2019s\u00a0still\u00a0a very useful\u00a0one inside the cage.\u00a0<br><br>He\u2019s well-rounded andhas great kicks to compliment a\u00a0very\u00a0technical\u00a0striking\u00a0style that goes well with his long frame. I\u00a0was made\u00a0first aware of Gomis when he dismantled the overhyped Cage Warriors prospect Tobias Harila.\u00a0<br><br>Gomis was calm amongst the chaos and put in a professional performance that likely got the ball rolling\u00a0to eventually earn him a UFC contract. The experience from that fight will serve him well here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jean Silva vs. William Gomis\u00a0<strong>Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">William Gomis has the potential to win this one quite comfortably if he can play the &#8220;Matador&#8221; game.\u00a0Whilst\u00a0that sounds like we are gearing up to bet him, we are just calculating the risks for Silva.\u00a0<br><br>Furthermore, we are obviously in\u00a0Brazil\u00a0where we think the crowd can\u00a0certainly\u00a0emphasize\u00a0the work that Silva does, which may twist the judges\u2019 arms a bit more.<br><br>So there\u2019s value on Gomis, but not enough to warrant a bet. Nonetheless, we still think this Bonfim is good and will eventually\u00a0turn into\u00a0a top 15 fighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Bet on Vinc Pichel?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0Vinc Pichel is old but not particularly shopworn due to a lack of commitment to his MMA career. He\u2019s a well-rounded guy who always\u00a0seems to end\u00a0up in grappling-based fights.\u00a0<br><br>Pichel has been competitive with the likes of Mark Madsen, Austin Hubbard, Jim Miller, and Roosevelt Roberts in recent years, which\u00a0kind of\u00a0paints the picture that he\u2019s capable but limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ismael Bonfim vs. Vinc Pichel<strong>\u00a0Final Betting Analysis:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We think it\u2019s fair to assume that Ismael Bonfim\u00a0really\u00a0should have Pichel covered here.
