Cruz Azul finished with no pressure on their shoulders after an outstanding campaign, being unreachable by anyone else. Tigres and Toluca landed the 2nd and 3rd spots, and now the focus is on whether they will switch positions in the last game, as the teams below won’t catch up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Things get extra interesting from the 4th to the 9th place, as a good night out could change things a lot regarding the postseason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am\u00e9rica worked its way to the top six on time to skip the Play-In, but they have one more game to define their position towards their title defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chivas comes as 9th on the board, but it’s still able to jump ahead and get a straight pass to the postseason. They have had a solid offense and defense throughout the campaign, but couldn’t rack up as many points as their numbers suggest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thankfully, El Reba\u00f1o doesn’t worry much if they lose, but their opponents, San Luis, are likely pissed off after the draw in their last match. Am\u00e9rica jumped over and pushed them back into the 7th spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, they need to make a statement if they want to regain the 6th spot and skip the Play-In, but they also need the \u00c1guilas to lose points.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Chivas at home and pushing the momentum from their recent victory, while San Luis is trying to get another win as visitors after their draw with a Necaxa, it will be a tight match. Still, we believe the hosts will take the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They could also try to halt Am\u00e9rica from getting points, making the \u00c1guilas fight to reach the Liguilla and lose ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Am\u00e9rica decided to pick up the pace after a troublesome season and is looking pretty good, coming in from six matches undefeated, with five wins in between and three in a row.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tijuana will have a perfect chance to sneak into the top six in this last matchday, as the 8th-placed team faces a 14th-placed Puebla that started the season with some promise but crashed down in the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Franja has lost four of its last five but still got a big upset over Chivas. However, due to the fact that the northern team hasn’t found a victory in their previous four matches, it’s hard to see them surprising again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe Xolos will win, but it’s hard to tell if that will be enough to assault the top six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
