The Summer Cup 2024 has not only been quite the historic event, as both the female NWSL and the Female Liga MX leagues have collided into one event.

Three groups have current clear leaders, but things could easily change depending on what happens in this last matchday. The other two groups have been pretty tight, so it all comes down to the last matches we will be having in the next few days.

With this last matchday coming up, we don’t have much left until the semifinal spots are decided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer Cup 2024: Matchday 3: North Carolina vs. Monterrey<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

North Carolina is right behind the top of Group E, but they have a chance of taking over if they land a win against Monterrey.

The Mexican team has been unable to land a victory, and they are unlikely to push forward independently of the results they get in this upcoming clash, but they might put up a fight to go with their hands up.

We are expecting North Carolina Courage to be able to take down the Mexican team and land themselves the points to fight for the lead in the group and go on to the Knockout stage.

Kansas City Current has been looking pretty strong, winning their first two performances and scoring six times while at it. Now, they are looking to close their group stage with a perfect run.
They will have to go through Tigres to do so, second in the group.

We expect KC Current to finish their perfect run into the Knockout stage here.

This match will pit two of the NWSL teams against each other. One is Angel City FC who are looking to get a clean ticket to the KO stage as they enter this match with two straight wins.

San Diego Wave comes to try and take over the top spot but might have a tough time, especially since they lost to Club America during their previous matches, and Angel City FC managed to beat the Mexican side without too many issues.

This does look like a bad night out for the San Diego team and we have to place our ticket in LA.

Gotham FC currently leads the pack with a win and a draw, which has them two points ahead of any other teams in group D. They are facing the Mexican side, Chivas, who has won a single match over Chicago Red Stars and lost to Washington Spirit.

Judging by the fact that Gotham FC won against Washington, we believe the Mexican side may not be getting points. Even if they manage to surprise, we don’t think they’ll achieve anything better than a draw, which would allow Gotham FC to get to the Knockout stage without issues.
