The week 2 of the NFL preseason has wrapped, and the results from some matches came out as the odds expected. We got a good look at what the teams are bringing in right before the season starts anew.

It seems like the teams are getting used to the new rules and technology quite well, which is great, as they will be dealing with it all season long.

Now, it is time to start breaking down the results of the 2nd week of the NFL Preseason. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0New York Giants\u00a0defeated the\u00a0Detroit Lions\u00a014-3 in their 2024\u00a0NFL preseason\u00a0opener, and it is odd to note that all the points in this game came during the first half, as the Giants had two stops on fourth and a goal to keep the Lions from finding the end zone.

It was a rough outing for Drew Lock in his Giants debut, as the veteran quarterback was forced to leave the game due to injury.

After being sacked while looking to scramble, Lock landed awkwardly on the turf as it looked like he was favoring his left side. Before leaving the game, Lock went 4 of 10 for 17 yards and an interception.

Eric Gray put together a strong overall performance as he battles for a spot on the Giants 53-man roster. On the ground, Gray had four carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns. He first found the end zone on a 48-yard run and followed it with a 1-yard score a little later on in the second quarter.

He also made an impact in the passing game, as he hauled in 4 passes for 46 yards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This wasn’t exactly the start of something like a Miracle at M&T Bank Stadium, but it was pretty fun and special, being a great way to open the preseason.

The Eagles defeated the Baltimore Ravens 16-13 on Jake Elliott’s 49-yard field goal as time expired, but that doesn’t tell half of what transpired in the last minute of play.

The Philly team did a lot of good things to open the preseason, and on a night when the starting offense warmed up and then spent the night on the sidelines and much of the projected starting defense played just one series, it just felt good.

The Eagles might struggle the most not on the field but by picking from their roster after the preseason ends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jaguars were ready to roll on this match \u2013 and as for the “starters” in the season’s first work against another team, they left with a four-point lead in what became a 26-13 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs opened the game with a 7-play, 42-yard field goal drive where the Jaguars defense seemed to struggle to slow down the Chiefs offense initially.\u00a0But after the switches started being made, the Jags began to pick up the pace and beat the defending champs, which should put them on the edge as they figure things out for the start of the season.

The Chiefs started pretty well, so that might be taken into consideration as they pick players for when the regular season arrives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The San Francisco 49ers opened their exhibition slate with a 17-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday evening. As expected, a majority of the team’s veteran players and expected starters did not see playing time in the preseason opener and instead watched on the sidelines.

This game allowed younger players, rookies, and recent free-agent signings to take the lion’s share of the game reps. Additionally, Klay Kubiak, the 49ers offensive passing game specialist, was calling the plays versus Tennessee.

It was the first offensive line for Tennessee that put up great results for them to land that victory down the line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
