Botafogo regained the lead after their 2-0 win over Fortaleza, who are now two points behind the Fog\u00e3o, although with a game in hand.

One of the surprises of the weekend was Corinthians’s 2-1 victory over Flamengo, which is very useful in the relegation battle. For the Meng\u00e3o, it was a hard blow as it moved away from the leadership.
