The matchday 28 of the Brasileir\u00e3o is over, and the fight for the title is much tighter after Botafogo’s draw and the victories of Palmeiras and Fortaleza.

The Fog\u00e3o could not beat Gr\u00eamio at home and drew goalless, so now they are only one point ahead of the Verd\u00e3o and two of the Tricolor. On the relegation front, Corinthians and Fluminense lost and remain in the red zone.

This weekend, there were no away wins, three draws, and few goals (19). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palmeiras achieved a very important victory against a tough opponent and is now only one point behind the leader, Botafogo. It was a 2-1 victory thanks to a penalty double by Raphael Veiga.

Botafogo suffered a hard blow after failing to beat Gr\u00eamio at home (0-0) and seeing its lead over its pursuers cut, as it now only leads Palmeiras by one point and Fortaleza by two.

Although there were no goals, it was a very entertaining match, with many clear chances on both sides and more than goalkeepers’ saves, it was the players’ poor finishing. Botafogo even scored a goal and celebrated, but it was disallowed for offside by Bastos in the 87th minute.

Botafogo remains at the top of the Brasileir\u00e3o with 57 points, while Gr\u00eamio continues to move away from relegation and now has 32 points, four points ahead of Corinthians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tim\u00e3o always had to row against the tide because already in first-half stoppage time, the VAR called the referee to review a foul inside the area by Fagner, who already had a yellow card. In the final minutes, with Corinthians all over the attack, Memphis Depay lost a ball, and the S\u00e3o Paulo players quickly counterattacked, and Andr\u00e9 Silva made it 3-1.

H\u00e9rcules was the hero of the day after scoring the only goal of the match. In one of the last plays of the first half, Breno Lopes launched a cross from the left, which was cleared by the visiting defense, but the ball was left loose, and the midfielder appeared to finish and score the 1-0.
