There is no doubt that this tournament is on fire as we continue to enjoy an intense battle for the top of the table between Botafogo, Palmeiras, and Fortaleza. However, in the previous matchday, O Fogo managed to breathe a little, as in addition to their 1-0 win over Paranaense, the Verd\u00e3o drew against Bragantino, and the Leao do Pici lost unexpectedly to Gr\u00eamio.

Now, everything is in their hands, but the margin of error keeps being close to null.

On the other hand, the relegation fight is also very intense, with very few points separating Corinthians, Vit\u00f3ria, Fluminense, and Parananense.

The first match we have in this summary was the big surprise of the day, that is, Gr\u00eamio’s victory over Fortaleza with a score of 3-1.

Fortaleza is fighting for the top of the table and came into this match with two consecutive victories. However, Gr\u00eamio took advantage of its local condition to take the three points.

The match started intense, as in the 13th minute, Alexander Aravena scored the first goal for the home team. However, 5 minutes later, the visitors equalized with a great goal by H\u00e9rcules Pereira do Nascimento.

At the beginning of the second half, specifically in the 60th minute, the Dane, Martin Braithwaite, scored 2-1 for Gr\u00eamio, which gave them peace of mind to face the rest of the match. Palmeiras had the opportunity to stay just one point behind Botafogo at the top of the table, but theywere held to a 0-0 draw by Bragantino.

As expected, Palmeiras dominated possession and virtually the entire match. However, Bragantino also had several dangerous chances near the Verd\u00e3o’s area, but they were unable to take advantage of them.

After a very intense give and take during the 90 minutes, the match was very close to ending 0-0. However, before that, there was a confrontation on the pitch in stoppage time, specifically in the 90+13′ and 90+14′ minutes, where Lucas Cunha was sent off for Bragantino and Gabriel Menino for Palmeiras, respectively.

Botafogo suffered, but they were able to take three golden points in this away match against a Paranaense team that is struggling and getting closer to the relegation zone.

Although Botafogo took the victory, it is worth noting that Paranaense never stopped trying, as they had 26 chances to score. However, only three of them could end up with shots on goal, which denotes that their offense is going through a terrible moment.
